Digital Halloween Washi tape

I always enjoy learning new things...especially in Adobe illustrator.
I decided to make washi tape from some of my Halloween designs I have been making.
If you have never had washi tape...it is cute decorative tape to craft with, collage with.... or scrapbook.

I made a bunch of them and they are slightly transparent just like real washi tape.

This is a screen shot of them...you can add the tape digitally to photos, signs, artwork...anything you like.

These all are color coordinated and go with each other.

Here I added them to my Halloween wool pin pattern photo.
See the transparency?
I used it on the corners of my Halloween pic....from last year's home decor.
This was tons of fun.
I might make them for sale eventually...as a  png (transparent background) file.

Do you try to learn new things every now and then?
I do!
Whether it is buying a new pattern, watching a tutorial, taking a class (in person or online)....I try to expand myself.  It is such a thrill to learn something new and say to yourself...
You did it!

Stitchin a scarecrow

This is a current project I am stitchin on.
My scarecrow scene.
I always have something to stitch....just ready in case I am in the mood.
It is perfect when watching some sports with my hubby or just relaxing outside.

I just got this kit at Hobby lobby.
It was fun...an easy project to stitch.
I am going to make some fun necklaces soon.
------------------------
I have been busy filling orders with Checkers, drawing ideas, finishing projects, and learning more repeating patterns.
There is never enough time in a day however.
Are you super busy this summer?
What are your plans?
Do you have a vacation planned this year?
------------------
I feel like it is hard to get business done in the summer...
but it is really a sweet time of year...especially for family!

Happy Weekend!!

This is my newest pattern : Blooming Blossom Punchneedle Pattern, #359
It is also in my Patternmart.  And if you like printed/mailed patterns...please go to my website.
Celebrate your garden growing & blossoms opening...this punchneedle design is perfect for your home decor!
What a cute box topper & handy to store little supplies or treats. This punches up fast & is very easy. The box is paper mache .   The trim is scrunched seam binding....so delicate.

This paper mache box....from hobby lobby...happened to have some embossed sides...perfect for dry brushing a lighter shade of pink on it.
Finished punched design measures: 3" x 3
The design was inspired by blooms around me!
And these petunias gave me the longing to use use a bright pink
I just love these colors.
Here I was picking out colors....ready to punch.
Here is what is looked like...part way through.
This is the back....where the needle goes in.
Punch needle is addicting!

Hope you have plenty of projects to work on this summer....I love stitching while sitting under the patio....beautiful weather, family around....laughing and swimming!
I have all kinds of Halloween projects to work on...alittle strange but oh well!

Today I am very happy to announce that my daughter, Selina, has made a cute FREE ticket flower tutorial...
She shows how to make these cute flowers above...that are so cute with a barrette or hair clip glued to the back.
Come watch and we would love it if you share the video.
Here she is wearing one.
These are some of her amazing photo's....they are in her Peacock Gumdrop Etsy shop.
I love our Bleeding heart...I planted it near my favorite kitty who passed away a few years back.  Her name was Sally.
This barn she took while driving to Leavenworth....a German style city.
This photo was printed in a magazine......she was very thrilled about that!
Alot of these have won blue ribbons at our state fair.
This is Selina last year.....she is also very good at sports.
She loves duck tape....these are rings....she has made backpacks, pens, wallets...and more.
She made collages from her photography too.
It gives a nice idea of what she likes to take.
She has made many duck tape dresses
She paints alot....this is Katy Perry on brown paper.
Her paper dress won lots of awards at the state fair.
Selina holding a frame....I am extremely proud of my lil lady!
Thanks for coming by today!!!

Liberty bell freebie...

The liberty bell...with crack.
This is a very patriotic design ...  handy for celebrating the 4th of July.

I think this would be a great ornament to hang on a hook.
Or great stitched up on a kitchen towel.

This is my daughter's art....her photography.
Above is her Pink lemonade Print. She is only 17....and is now officially a Senor in High School!
The time flies....doesn't it!!
Love this berry with a drop of water.
She loves taking pics of nature.
And one of our cats....this is Lucky.

Life has no remote...

I love the blue!
The background is my zinnia surface pattern design...and I just love this saying.
Looks cute in this dollar store frame.
Here it is in my pink Deflecto frame....brings a slightly different look depending on the frame.
Do you have a favorite saying?
Comment if you want to share it.
------------------------------------
Summer .... so far.... has not been very productive yet.... I see my cat Trix doing crazy things after getting into the catnip.  I then am distracted over and over.
My daughter is home....always wanting to be doing fun stuff.....but she does have driving school to occupy some of her time.
But I do love to doodle....this is a zen doodle.
There is a really cool magazine about it from Cloth, paper, scissors magazine.
Very fun and addicting!
Have you seen my summer time preemie flash cards....these are tiny.
There are 27 lil flash cards on one college sheet....all you have to do is print on cream colored cardstock and cut out.
These are great for your decor, tuck in a card, MAKE AS TAGS, great for scrapbooking , sweet in a dolls hands, use in altered art or collage art, bookmarks, and much more.
The words you get are: Popsicle, vacation, beach, lazy days, bees, barbeque, surf, cracker jacks, smores, picnics, roses, strawberry, flag, iced tea, summer, sand castles, hamburger, camping, swimming pool, garden, school's out, suntan, baseball, hot, sea shells, hotdogs, and lake.
Each one comes with a number.
They measure: 2 1/2" x 1".
Have a wonderful ...magical day!

Star Spangled Flag freebie

I was doodling in the backyard...and this is what I was inspired to draw.
A big flag with tons of stars.
This would be sweet stitched in the corner of a dishtowel.
Copy and save
*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make finished goods (no mass producing) and gifts...they are still legally my designs.
-------------------------------------
I made a set of clip art...using elements from my surface pattern designs collection....called autumn fields....which is in my etsy shop.
There are 15 png (transparent background) files.
There is a large scarecrow (also with a black outline...same image), a pumpkin, leaves, vines, moon, stars, Hello autumn banner sign, 2 different kinds of wheat, scarecrow head, & yellow grass.

This is how you could use it for example...this is a black background I painted....and I put the images on top...using a free photo editor called Pixlr express.
I also added words using that photo editor.

Here I had a background of chipped painted board....this would make a cute invitation to a harvest party.
I included a scarecrow that had a black lining ...for a different look.
I put it on old ledger paper.
You can add these images to your pictures....I took this a couple years ago...it was a cool house in my walk.
I love playing around with these images.
....................................................
Here is my sneaky peak for ya....
it will be my next pattern!
Available soon!
