Happy Go Lucky!!

I am feeling happy go lucky...
I love all the green of St. Patrick's day...so pretty.
This year St. Patrick's day is a whole month apart from Easter...which I love because I then can decorate for each and have time to enjoy both.  Some years the two holidays are super close to each other.
I made up a new banner...featuring my little paintings and some repeating pattern designs I made using illustrator.  It is in my etsy shop.
The banner can be any length. Each collage sheet has 12 flags....you could print as many as you need....to make any length. Each little flag measures: 3 3/4" x 1 9/16".

I just glue (hotglue) the tops of the each flag to a length of bakers twine.
They are easy and fast...kids could do this too....I would just recommend tacky glue instead.
I have these banners in all kinds of other holidays and everyday too.

I retook some pics for some older tags I made...
sometimes I have to do that to update...plus my skills have grown throughout the years...thankfully!
I do love using my old photo collection for these!
Somehow the old photos really work well with Irish tags and labels...they fit!
These are fun on green glassware and hanging on knobs.
This cracks me up!
Naughty of me!

This is a cool shamrock I made using my repeating patterns I did in adobe illustrator.
I love to keep learning and making...I feel like a kid when I create!

I went to the grocery store....the displays are amazing...
My phone took this pic!
I love the color purple.
These radishes make me really want spring...
but around here it still looks like Siberia!
Boo!
Here's hoping the snow melts soon!

Pick you cherry chick freebie

Isn't this a sweet little bird!
I kind of gave it a valentine appeal...but it doesn't have to be.
I love cherries too.
This would make a sweet hang tag.
Could be a great tea towel too.

I recently made a new banner...
Be Mine Valentine digital Banner... A super easy craft...kids can do it too!
It is a SET OF 12 small banner flags WILL GET YOU READY FOR Valentine's day...WE ARE SO READY!!!!!
I painted the girls and hearts...converted them to the flag shapes and also made extra flowers and motifs as an illustration ...so that all the colors go together perfectly.
All you do is print, cut out...(add glitter if you want) and glue them onto a string or baker's twine.
The banner can be any length. Each sheet has 12 flags....you could print as many as you need. Each little flag measures: 3 3/4" x 1 9/16".
I hung mine up....it is so festive!
I need to now make a St. Patrick's day one!
My daughter Selina has some new cute Valentine heart necklaces in her etsy shop!
These are free motion stitched...and they are framed in her pendant blanks...so sweet!
Earlier in the week I played around with Stabilo chalk colored pencils...I colored in my queen of hearts drawing and blended everything in.
It was amazing just playing around....I also got a "Little house on the prairie" coloring book....good times!
This is a sneak peak of my next pattern....
can't wait to get it out there!

Have a
Happy Weekend!

Best Friends freebie & mini quilts

There is nothing like a best friend!
Sometimes you even look alittle like your best friend...or atleast think alike.
I love a great day of shopping with a friend...being silly...having lunch....talking it up!
This would be a great tag on a gift or stitched up into a little pillow shelf tuck.
*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make finished goods (no mass producing) and gifts...they are still my designs.
-------------------------------------------
My brand new pattern is ready!
If you like a printed and mailed pattern ..then you can find it on my website.
The scene is set for a very vintage Valentine!
These 3 lil quilts are just perfect for your Winter Decor. There is a hearts in basket mat, Big heart hanging mini quilt and a "Love"banner on a larger mini quilt. All three feature wool and fun fabric.
This looks terrific on a plain shelf....I have many shelves in my house that just need alittle punch of beauty....this is perfect for that.
There are eight pages...with lots of pictures, diagrams and detailed easy instructions.
I love the stripes...and quilting a wavy stitch makes it seems to move.
Hearts in basket mat quilt design measures: 11" x 4"
Big Heart design measures: 11" x 4"
Love banner measure: 16" x 7 3/4"
Have a good weekend!!
One day at a time....
Words to live by!

Revamping Valentine boxes!!

I love my newly revamped old Valentine boxes...this one has the sweetest valentine of a pussy cat.
I want to show you how easy it is to do it yourself!
Here are my ugly boxes....a pink one from goodwill...$1.
There was dirt and marks on it....making it sort of sad looking.
And this one is alright...but just advertises Russel Stovers.
I gathered up supplies...like my party streamers.
I LOVE party streamers because they are usually dirt cheap at thrift stores and are easy to work with.
I just took my white party streamer and started gathering it up with my fingers and pressing it down to keep the gathered shape.
I then started hot gluing it to the edges...making it evenly hanging over the edge a bit.
I started at the top middle point of the heart.
Lucky was helping ...like a good tabby cat.
He put his paw on things I should try next...no kidding...he is amazing.
I kept going around in layers.
When going around curves...just tuck to go around.
I wanted another color to be added.
It was addicting to keep on going.
I love the sweetness of it...reminds me of Marie Antoinette.
While I was working on this....I took my old valentine ...glued it onto cardstock and then added glitter.  I let it dry.

This is the kitty valentine I used.
I covered it up alot.
All these pics were taking while watching tv...so I am sorry the pictures are a little crazy and dark.
I also covered up the little red box.
I added white too.
I glued the kitty valentine on the center....glued ribbons under it (with a heart button) and added a few stickers.
I put a dog valentine on this one.
They are sooo cute and corny at the same time!
Now my boxes are not sad...
I can proudly put them out and enjoy.
Here is my last tip:
Don't put party streamers in the sunshine...they will fade...
but maybe you want it to fade?  It would look vintage if it was faded....lol.

Have an amazing day!

Our love freebie

I have Valentines on my brain!
The pretty pink and red...and all those hearts....it just makes me happy in this wintery weather.
This would make a great shelf tuck...a mini pillow.
*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make finished goods (no mass producing) and gifts...they are still my designs.
--------------------------------------------
My Valentine Mini quilts pattern is almost ready...just doing some finishing touches!
I really love them and it will be the 4th in the series....
There is already Easter, Halloween and Christmas/winter.
I intend to do St.Patricks day and 4th of July too...just gotta plan it in!
My daughter Selina and I have been making coloring book pages....
It is part of a Roost Tribe challenge...for working in adobe illustrator.
Basically it is taking already colored artwork of your own and turn it into coloring book pages...very fun.
Selina has put some in her Etsy shop..called ArtFrenzyStudio.
Her first is this sweet deer.
I had to color it using my new crayons (I love a new box!)
It is fun to do when watching TV.  I love how relaxing it is.
Many a wonderful day was spent in my childhood...and probably yours too...just coloring!
Here she did a Fox....
And an owl too!
This is my coloring page...I decided to do LOVE.
As I told you...Valentines are on my brain!
From embroidery, to little dolls, ornaments, primitives, punch needle, signs, pincushions, quilts, collages sheets and more!  These kind of projects keep me from the winter blues...and this winter has been a doozy of snow and ice!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!
