A valentine box of goodies...

My daughter Selina and I are collaborating on a fun new project...
It's like a subscription box, but it is just a one time thing.
We may be doing more in the future for holidays.

You will get a box of fun products to decorate, craft with and celebrate Valentine's day!
All items are designed by Selina and Shirley Hudson.

There is 6 different items in the box:

A vibrant print....saying: Your heart and my heart are very very old friends.  I watercolored the art and added this sweet saying that can fit love of any form.  It is an 8" x 10" print (can fit a 8 1/2" x 11" frame too) (Frame not included- the one on display in photo is $4 at walmart). The print will have a clear protective bag.

Isn't it cute framed up!

A valentine girl chenille stem dolly...on a spool. She is holding a heart and love envelope....and has a cute pink dress with trims and glitter. OOAK. 5 1/2" tall. Ooh la la.

Her face is another piece of art I painted....a pouty little girl.  She stands nicely and is super sweet.

A sweet wooden ornament...with a kitty cat and heart basket (we designed) ...hand painted....with lovely seam binding ribbon for a hanger. (2 3/4" x 2 3/4" not including ribbon length)

I just love the wood ornament....our special design.

10 heart tags in pink, red and white. 2" x 2" not including length of bakers twine. Hand stamped, great for gifts, adding to decor and snail mail.

One wood hexie pendant with embroidery pattern for hearts (Not finished item) as shown. Really easy and fun to do! (hexie measures: 1 5/8" x 1 5/8")

Here is what the back looks like.

The finished design looks like this...fun and easy to make.

A Hudson's Holidays pattern - A vintage valentine mini quilt pattern. 3 designs are included....make some sweet wallhangings and table mats.

If you already have this pattern...I could replace it for another one.

We tucks a few little extras in too.

*****The value of all these items are more than $65.00. The box will be sent in a priority box...super fast....so you can enjoy your box of goodies.

I have been super busy with tons going on...
everyday is crazy.....hope to have a fun date night with my hubby and see the movie "The Favourite".

Happy weekend to you!!!

Halloween treat boxes, pins & ornaments

Oh man...it's been a busy week!
I have my BRAND NEW pattern....

Halloween is full of tricks and TREATS....

Stitch up the spookiest treat boxes ever... they are made from wool or felt, with easy whip stitching and embroidery. Each design fits on little paper mache boxes (those really inexpensive boxes at all the craft stores).

***They are also lovely made into wearable pins, magnets or as ornaments.
I love the majestic quality of crows.
There is a black crow, Spooky witch silhouette, Smiling Jack, Happy cat, Ghost, Skull, Acorns, bat, and 3 pumpkins with a cute cat.

I kept eating the candy corn... even though I was telling myself to not!

Finished designs measure:
from 4" x 4" or 5" x 3 1/2" ...
to 2 1/4" x 3" or 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
**These finished Halloween designs would also look great as package ties, on the front of a basket or jar, pincushions (made as the pin and then stuffed with polyfil stuffing or crushed walnut shells), or hanging on a knob or hook.

Fill the boxes with treats like candy corn, chocolates, or little toys.
The boxes make great gifts and friendship swaps.

Here they are as pins and magnets.
plus they use up scraps!

I also made some new fun sayings for my daughter Selina's mini hoop pendant blanks.
There is: Ugh, Meh, Nope, Thug life, WTF, As if, I can't even, Sorry not sorry, What ever, Not today Satan, me too! and YOLO.

This is what her mini hoops look like, and you get the "Hello" patterns plus how to use them.

I love this saying!
I thought thug life was fun for the young...with a sweet rose.

"As if" .... reminds me of the movie clueless....one of my favorites.
Plus there is "Nope"...lol.
I had alot of fun with these!
These sew up quick too!

They have a soft frosty look!

Revamping Valentine boxes!!

I love my newly revamped old Valentine boxes...this one has the sweetest valentine of a pussy cat.
I want to show you how easy it is to do it yourself!
Here are my ugly boxes....a pink one from goodwill...$1.
There was dirt and marks on it....making it sort of sad looking.
And this one is alright...but just advertises Russel Stovers.
I gathered up supplies...like my party streamers.
I LOVE party streamers because they are usually dirt cheap at thrift stores and are easy to work with.
I just took my white party streamer and started gathering it up with my fingers and pressing it down to keep the gathered shape.
I then started hot gluing it to the edges...making it evenly hanging over the edge a bit.
I started at the top middle point of the heart.
Lucky was helping ...like a good tabby cat.
He put his paw on things I should try next...no kidding...he is amazing.
I kept going around in layers.
When going around curves...just tuck to go around.
I wanted another color to be added.
It was addicting to keep on going.
I love the sweetness of it...reminds me of Marie Antoinette.
While I was working on this....I took my old valentine ...glued it onto cardstock and then added glitter.  I let it dry.

This is the kitty valentine I used.
I covered it up alot.
All these pics were taking while watching tv...so I am sorry the pictures are a little crazy and dark.
I also covered up the little red box.
I added white too.
I glued the kitty valentine on the center....glued ribbons under it (with a heart button) and added a few stickers.
I put a dog valentine on this one.
They are sooo cute and corny at the same time!
Now my boxes are not sad...
I can proudly put them out and enjoy.
Here is my last tip:
Don't put party streamers in the sunshine...they will fade...
but maybe you want it to fade?  It would look vintage if it was faded....lol.

Have an amazing day!
