Welcome 2022!

Wow....it's 2022!
Can you believe it?
I am ready for a new year...and ready for some happier times.
I have been vaccinated and boosted....but the anniversary of my brother's death is upon me and it saddens me greatly. I also lost a long time friend this past year too...I am sure you have dealt with so much too.
I am hoping this new year will be brighter.
Let's get to some fun things...
I made these calendars using my own artwork.

This one is perfect for your desktop.  Click here for this one.

January mug rug
Wow...I have done a year of mugrugs..... I started last February. Go back through the year to see them all!
I chose some sweet snow bunnies with blues and reds.

Make them is any color combo...it takes only scraps.
Below is the diagram.

I have some new art ornaments for Valentine's day in my etsy shop!
These are just some of the many that are listed.

They are wood with prints of my artwork, with a gold hanger and ribbon.

Signed the dated!

Recently crafted...
I made some snowmen items this winter....this cute doll ( he sold within minutes of listing)... he was a cutie!  My idea of Frosty the snowman.

I painted these on very large canvases. This original is in the vendor mall in Spokane.

Snowball fight!

I of course love making ornaments.

My Halloween house!
I know Halloween is over, but I have to show you a few pics of my Halloween decor!
I love to collect old and new....each piece is a treasure to me.
My white tree is tall and skinny...perfect for my little spot in the corner.  The white tree really shows off my ornaments.  A lot of people have told me my doll heads are creepy....yes they are...perfect for creepy goodness.  I am not into gore or bloody things.

I had the witch rattle when I was a kid...it was so much fun.  The pumpkin picture lights up...I love it.
On my steps is this sweet kitty and vintage plastic treat holder.
Our backyard grave yard...love the ghost in the tree.
It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown!
A spooky shot of my cottage.
Next to my cottage is my studio....see it in the background...it is much larger than this pic shows.

I made these last year....just wrapping yarn around hoops and adding felt faces.
I love the witch I made using a Chestnut junction pattern!
Notice her frog friend.

This witch hangs from my light....she is me....lol.
A collection of witches.
I love decorating my piano...it was my mom's...she could play anything....without music...I can play two little ditties....no one got her talent :(
Cross stitched witch...I did this along time ago...one of my treasures.
Yankee candle fun!
I love corny, creepy, fun Halloween goodies.
paper decorations are one of my favorites.
I need more space to decorate!
I really enjoy this time of year.
My witch pinata.
This skeleton has a mike and you can talk through him.

Vintage papers, candles, noisemakers, and party supplies.

This years sweet simple pumpkin....he glows though his skin sort of....cool pumpkin from Trader Joe's.

Go to my instagram page to see short videos of my decorations too.

See you later!

Patriotic Tea Party!

I have created a Patriotic Tea Party!
This painting was a lot of fun and actually helped me get through some stressful times.
Art is very healing.
Sometimes just getting out the supplies on a big table gets you going!
I always start with a large canvas (hobby lobby was packs of them at great prices)
I take old papers and with a matte medium, apply them to the canvas.
Some of my old papers crack me up....I guess they lied about dieting stuff way back!
Terrible how this kind of fraud was allowed, but it still is really.
I like adding recipes and cartoons too.
Sometimes I glue some tissue paper too. You just have to apply these carefully so they don't wrinkle.
I drew a few ideas down....
from my sketch....I think it is a good idea to do this before hand.
I started adding paint...letting some of the old papers show through.
I really wanted the teapot to have a flag...because usually teapots have flowers or sweet designs...
I wanted it to be different.
Roses!
I work on one area, and then go to the next while it dries.
I sketched a spoon at the bottom.
Adding greenery.
Folk art is very forgiving....lol.
It's ok to make mistakes or be a little sloppy.
Things are coming together, but I didn't like all that space around the teapot.
Lots of shading....
coffee or tea?
I added a patriotic banner!
I slipped it in and I love it!
This is my process and I had so much fun.
This is a perfect project for a rainy day!
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My daughter Selina ( with a fox camera app)....
She is a happy girl because she has a new laser machine and it works like a dream.
Her other machine broke down and caused all kinds of trouble... right after
quilt market!  Now she is almost completely caught up on all the orders and feeling much better!

When it rains ...it pours!
It's almost Father's Day!

Makes the perfect gift for Father's day
or when baby is born and there is a new daddy in the family.
Looks great hung up in the man cave.
This is a dollar store frame...painted white....so easy!

Hope you have an amazing weekend with your dad....your step-dad, your father in law, uncle, grandpa or cat daddy...lol.
