I designed another Halloween embroidery doll and mini quilt pattern...
A Good Witch!

Isn't she cute under her quilt?!
Stitch up the sweetest little witch... perfect for your Halloween decor.
She is carrying her treat bag and has her own mini quilt. This is the 2nd of a series of Halloween dolls... embroider up the whole collection!

She can clasp it with her extended hand...with the help of a little gold safety pin.
For a printed and mail pattern go to my website

This mini quilt is so easy....just a couple steps.
Finished Embroidery doll measures: 4 3/4" x 9"

Mini Quilt measures: 5 1/2" x 6 3/4"

Imagine the kids playing with these characters....there is already a pumpkin man pattern.....and more designs are coming very soon.... Frankenstein, vampire, and zombie.

Frankenstein is almost ready...he is really cool!

Patriotic Tea Party!

I have created a Patriotic Tea Party!
This painting was a lot of fun and actually helped me get through some stressful times.
Art is very healing.
Sometimes just getting out the supplies on a big table gets you going!
I always start with a large canvas (hobby lobby was packs of them at great prices)
I take old papers and with a matte medium, apply them to the canvas.
Some of my old papers crack me up....I guess they lied about dieting stuff way back!
Terrible how this kind of fraud was allowed, but it still is really.
I like adding recipes and cartoons too.
Sometimes I glue some tissue paper too. You just have to apply these carefully so they don't wrinkle.
I drew a few ideas down....
from my sketch....I think it is a good idea to do this before hand.
I started adding paint...letting some of the old papers show through.
I really wanted the teapot to have a flag...because usually teapots have flowers or sweet designs...
I wanted it to be different.
Roses!
I work on one area, and then go to the next while it dries.
I sketched a spoon at the bottom.
Adding greenery.
Folk art is very forgiving....lol.
It's ok to make mistakes or be a little sloppy.
Things are coming together, but I didn't like all that space around the teapot.
Lots of shading....
coffee or tea?
I added a patriotic banner!
I slipped it in and I love it!
This is my process and I had so much fun.
This is a perfect project for a rainy day!
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My daughter Selina ( with a fox camera app)....
She is a happy girl because she has a new laser machine and it works like a dream.
Her other machine broke down and caused all kinds of trouble... right after
quilt market!  Now she is almost completely caught up on all the orders and feeling much better!

When it rains ...it pours!
It's almost Father's Day!

Makes the perfect gift for Father's day
or when baby is born and there is a new daddy in the family.
Looks great hung up in the man cave.
This is a dollar store frame...painted white....so easy!

Hope you have an amazing weekend with your dad....your step-dad, your father in law, uncle, grandpa or cat daddy...lol.

Catching Butterflies....

My cat Sally used to catch butterflies and leave them in my bathroom....so when I got home from delivering mail all day....I go in the bathroom, to take a shower, to find Sally proudly laying around her yellow butterflies.
I told her not to get me any gifts....but she did not listen.
Sally is in kitty heaven now...but when I see a yellow butterfly around the garden, I imagine her (in angel form) catching them in the air.

Copy and save this sweetie!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This past Wednesday I turned 50 and my hubby brought me 50 roses and a quilting machine....he did real good!!!
I am going to keep him...lol.
He always spoils me....he is so sweet!
Once I put the machine in the big grace frame I will take a pictures and show you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
My daughter Selina was featured in a blog!!!!

I am very proud of Selina, she is only 19 and already a busy business woman.
She has a lot more shapes than these in her shop!
Lots of mini hoops, hexies, rings, earrings, owl, bird, dragon eggs...
they are inspired from Game of Thrones.
She is always busy and designing new things.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week I was working on some Halloween designs...this is just a bit of it.
I took my pumpkin and surrounded him with candy corn and dots.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I forgot to share some garage sale goodies from last week....
Scary halloween masks and magazine....
Isn't this mask hideous!
Vintage easter items....
Transfers and old cleaning items....
Lassie, a music box and metal horse....
Games....
Old toys....
and old tins!

Hope you have a great weekend!
