Catching Butterflies....

My cat Sally used to catch butterflies and leave them in my bathroom....so when I got home from delivering mail all day....I go in the bathroom, to take a shower, to find Sally proudly laying around her yellow butterflies.
I told her not to get me any gifts....but she did not listen.
Sally is in kitty heaven now...but when I see a yellow butterfly around the garden, I imagine her (in angel form) catching them in the air.

Copy and save this sweetie!

This past Wednesday I turned 50 and my hubby brought me 50 roses and a quilting machine....he did real good!!!
I am going to keep him...lol.
He always spoils me....he is so sweet!
Once I put the machine in the big grace frame I will take a pictures and show you.

My daughter Selina was featured in a blog!!!!

I am very proud of Selina, she is only 19 and already a busy business woman.
She has a lot more shapes than these in her shop!
Lots of mini hoops, hexies, rings, earrings, owl, bird, dragon eggs...
they are inspired from Game of Thrones.
She is always busy and designing new things.

This week I was working on some Halloween designs...this is just a bit of it.
I took my pumpkin and surrounded him with candy corn and dots.

SCoRe!

I am just showing you a few SCORES of mine...that happened recently.
The first was when I went to The Washington State Quilters meeting and got these two books for ...25 cents each!  All Magazines there are 25 cents too.

Then I won this....a door prize.  I have met Barri Sue at Quilt market....we both had a booth there.  She is soooooo sweet and nice.  I was thrilled when she said my eyes on my embroideries were so beautiful.  I have lots of her patterns and have always loved her style.
Thankfully I won a pattern I didn't have.
I give door prizes too at the meeting of my designs.
I have won lots of times.....out of hundreds of women...I'm lucky!
Here is the cute mohair baby bonnet that I got...for FREE.  I mentioned it the other day.
A nice lady gave me all kinds of goodies for free.
I am not sure if I want to keep it like it is or use it to make a small bear from a Gingermelon pattern.

This items was also free.
It kinda cracks me up...it is so strange.
I am thinking it was a clothes line thing...with clothes pins and such.
It is very large.
It is really old, with vintage fabrics and embroidery .....funny face!

The best part is the tiny feet....dangling from the bottom!
----------------------------------------------------------------
On another note....
I am adding some more thrifty embroidery patterns in my Thriftstitchin etsy shop.
Cute doggie

Bridal tags

Groovy goodness

WE love the USA

I found this Little painting amongst my stuff...I painted it 10 years ago...right after 9/11.  I was really really into Raggedy Ann (I still dig her!).  She has some wild hair.  I am hoping our economy will turn around...we all need it!

Garage sale finds!!!!

This vintage dress was basically free, because a lady made me a great deal.  It fits perfectly on my mannequin and I added a few Halloween items to it.  My cat freaked out when he saw it....side stepping away from her.
This is a full length shot, wish I was that wonderful shape.
This bunch of goodies cost about 13 bucks....from papers, to loads of stamps (some still in package), vintage lace tablecloth, ribbons, fabric and more.  I was in heaven.
These are my best deal though....two antique quilts (crazy quilt over 100 years old) ...only 9 dollars for BOTH!!!  My picture isn't the best, but they are so pretty!!!  I am still just thrilled about it.  Tell me what deals you have gotten lately, I would love to hear about it!!!
