My daughter Selina and I got into rug tufting this past month. We saw a tiktok video and you tube videos too....that were fun and fascinating. It's the super fast way to make rugs....

We bought a frame kit (Amazon)and put it together....it has strips of nails on all sides to hold rug tufting fabric to the frame.   It is as tight as a drum. You mark your design on the cloth.  We used a projector and a sharpie pen.

Here is a close up.

We outlined the shape with black yarn.

Here is a shot of the rug tufting gun.....it is like a sewing machine in a way....just poke it in the fabric, pull trigger and tuft upwards.

Any yarn can be used. It cuts the yarn for you.

Here is the back, which is the right side.  After....you can shave and trim it.  Also you seal the back with rug glue.

We had a helper...Davy!

We had a wonderful bridal shower for Selina....she is getting married in September!
I am so excited!
Maybe I will be a grand-mother some day!

This picture was from my first book signing.

I have another one soon!

It's been a rough past month... with my father having some hospital stays and I was sick too....but I'm hoping things will be more calm this month.

Enjoy the rest of summer!

My Halloween house!
I know Halloween is over, but I have to show you a few pics of my Halloween decor!
I love to collect old and new....each piece is a treasure to me.
My white tree is tall and skinny...perfect for my little spot in the corner.  The white tree really shows off my ornaments.  A lot of people have told me my doll heads are creepy....yes they are...perfect for creepy goodness.  I am not into gore or bloody things.

I had the witch rattle when I was a kid...it was so much fun.  The pumpkin picture lights up...I love it.
On my steps is this sweet kitty and vintage plastic treat holder.
Our backyard grave yard...love the ghost in the tree.
It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown!
A spooky shot of my cottage.
Next to my cottage is my studio....see it in the background...it is much larger than this pic shows.

I made these last year....just wrapping yarn around hoops and adding felt faces.
I love the witch I made using a Chestnut junction pattern!
Notice her frog friend.

This witch hangs from my light....she is me....lol.
A collection of witches.
I love decorating my piano...it was my mom's...she could play anything....without music...I can play two little ditties....no one got her talent :(
Cross stitched witch...I did this along time ago...one of my treasures.
Yankee candle fun!
I love corny, creepy, fun Halloween goodies.
paper decorations are one of my favorites.
I need more space to decorate!
I really enjoy this time of year.
My witch pinata.
This skeleton has a mike and you can talk through him.

Vintage papers, candles, noisemakers, and party supplies.

This years sweet simple pumpkin....he glows though his skin sort of....cool pumpkin from Trader Joe's.

Go to my instagram page to see short videos of my decorations too.

Halloween boo crew...& Dracula

It's time for the Halloween Boo Crew....
STICKERS!
The Halloween Boo crew stickers are designed by me, Shirley Hudson of Hudson's Holidays. There are 2 sheets of stickers and each sheet is 4 3/4" x 6 1/8".
The Boo crew has a witch, Frankenstein monster, owl, cat, bat, scarecrow, pumpkins, flowers, ghost, spider, skull, leaves, candy corn, moon and stars.

These sweet stickers are fun for your calendar, party invitations, planners, journal, snail mail, crafting, and kids love them! These are not scary, just cute!

I am using them in my planner here
Sweet characters!

I made a matching fabric...available in my spoonflower shop

I made a second set of stickers...which are alittle different.

I love franky

There are so many uses.

They have fun sayings: Monster mash, cutest pumpkin in the patch, welcome autumn, I'm bats over you, boo, pumpkin spice is nice, Halloween hag, just call me wicked, scarecrow for hire, and welcome to our web.

I can't wait for the first day of autumn.

They look cute on tags too

I have finished my final Halloween doll in the collection!
It is in my etsy shop ....as an instant download.....and on my website for Printed/mailed patterns.

Stitch up the sweetest Dracula... perfect for your Halloween decor or for your kids to play with. He is carrying his coffin treat container and has his own mini quilt. This is the 5th of a series of Halloween dolls... embroider up the whole collection! He has a family crest on his cape and a little spider friend.

You can cover him up in his own quilt.

Sweet mini quilt...which would also make a great mug rug or shelf mat.

These are all the dolls in the collection.
In my etsy shop I have a great deal for all five...check it out!

Kids love them
Each has a different quilt design.
