Cherry dog freebie, home, and mini pins

This little doggie is so old fashioned, but cute.
I am not sure how cherries and a puppy go together, but who cares!
I love cherries!
Copy and save.
Stitch it up onto a towel!

I illustrated our house this week...it was a fun challenge by the Roost tribe.
It has some serious flaws, but no bodies perfect right?
I did it really fast...a mad dash to get it done.

This is the picture I used to help me....
Last year's fall picture.
It was fun trying to figure out the drawing and make it work.

I am also bringing fabric, supplies, all of Selina's wood pendant and ornaments blanks.... and of course ... my patterns.
We have a new spot (#39) in bay 2...a double booth.

Pick you cherry chick freebie

Isn't this a sweet little bird!
I kind of gave it a valentine appeal...but it doesn't have to be.
I love cherries too.
This would make a sweet hang tag.
Could be a great tea towel too.

I recently made a new banner...
Be Mine Valentine digital Banner... A super easy craft...kids can do it too!
It is a SET OF 12 small banner flags WILL GET YOU READY FOR Valentine's day...WE ARE SO READY!!!!!
I painted the girls and hearts...converted them to the flag shapes and also made extra flowers and motifs as an illustration ...so that all the colors go together perfectly.
All you do is print, cut out...(add glitter if you want) and glue them onto a string or baker's twine.
The banner can be any length. Each sheet has 12 flags....you could print as many as you need. Each little flag measures: 3 3/4" x 1 9/16".
I hung mine up....it is so festive!
I need to now make a St. Patrick's day one!
My daughter Selina has some new cute Valentine heart necklaces in her etsy shop!
These are free motion stitched...and they are framed in her pendant blanks...so sweet!
Earlier in the week I played around with Stabilo chalk colored pencils...I colored in my queen of hearts drawing and blended everything in.
It was amazing just playing around....I also got a "Little house on the prairie" coloring book....good times!
This is a sneak peak of my next pattern....
can't wait to get it out there!

Have a

Happy Presidents day...sneaky peak

I thought you might enjoy seeing this vintage ad in one of my old magazines...
for Wheatena.
I love the presidential theme.
Remember when back in grade school they would put pictures in as a replacement for a word...like Washington's picture replacing his name.  Maybe it was kindergarten?
My daughter and I plan to go for a walk soon...the sun in shining,,,,,blue skies...just gorgeous!

Here is a sneaky peak of my next pattern...
I am thinking fairies!!!
My mom totally believed she could catch fairies in the woods
she looked under mushrooms and everything!
I would have loved to have seen that!

Have a fun day!

Come to the party bunch!

Sugar and spice ... freebie friday design pattern

Yeah....girls are pretty awesome!

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations.
I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them,
and try to follow where they lead.

Cherry Blossom Tutorial

Happy Monday....the sun is shining here....but it still cold!
Today I want to share what I did yesterday.
I made my own Cherry blossoms!
I am going to make more...but I wanted to share how to do it....then I can fill up my pitcher later today.

These are CHEAP to make.
No cost for branches/twigs.
Party streamers are dirt cheap.  Glue....hardly any money on that.

They last forever...or until they get really dusty.....lol

I just love cherry blossoms!
Onto the project....
Here are the supplies: Party streamers (you know how I love party streamers!), twigs, scissors, and hot glue gun/sticks.  When picking out a twig ( I just went to my backyard...seems to be an abundance that fell after a wind storm)...make sure to pick a sturdy twig with sturdy branches.  Trim your twig if needed.  Cut your pink streamer to 5 1/2" long and  your yellow to 1" long.

Fold the yellow in half length wise and then again making a small rectangle.
Fold the pink in half length wise.

Cut petals loops in the pink....leave the folded edge uncut.

Wrap the yellow around the twig and hot glue down....this is the center of your blossom.

Gather up the pink in your hand alittle.

Start gluing the pink onto the twig.

Turn and gather up more of the pink and glue.

Glue any areas that need it and hold until set.

Spread petals (gently) out.  You don't need to add the whole length of pink streamer....just cut off the extra.
Or you may want your blossom full.

Make flowers for all twig branches....but you can leave some stems without flowers if you want to.
Originally I did one big twig...but I think doing several smaller twigs would be easier.
Now...to make more!!!!
