Painting Cutesy Poo

Yesterday I painted.....in my cutesy poo way!
I love making things happy, bright, and cheerful!

I worked on a lot of things at once.

I first drew designs in my sketch book... thanks goodness.
Because when sat down to paint and my brain went....duhhh.
I knew it was time to open my sketch book and see what I have been drawing....it then made my brain click into gear.

These are not done....works in progress.

I love my characters to hold flowers and balloons.

Pink hair...yes please!
She will wear pink and be proud.

Happy Birthday bunny,...present in pocket...he is prepared.

I love butterflies....my cat used to catch them...made me so mad, but she was only hunting I guess.

Mouse in strawberries.....my hint on my newest pattern design...is strawberries!
And it isn't an embroidery design either....stay tuned!

Oh how things have changed...

On May 19th 1536, Queen Anne Boleyn was beheaded in the Tower of London after being found guilty of treason and adultery. That was 478 years ago.

Oh how the world has changed.
Especially for Women!

Funny how Henry could cheat everyday....but when you want rid of a wife....just accuse her of cheating and other erroneous charges.
And it is done.
It would be so awful to die for no reason.
The trials were a joke.

I am quick to remind my daughter that women have only gotten certain rights in the last hundred years....and only in some countries....not the whole world.

When I think of Anne Boleyn...I think of a women that was different than others....strong willed,
wanting power, using some charm and wit....how dare her!  lol
آن بولين
She will forever be in history!

Spring Special Quiltmania

I just love how everything is blooming outside...I have a Lilac bush next to my studio door (it just showed up as a seedling a few years ago!) and the smell is to die for!
Now my nose goes a little crazy from allergies...but I don't care...I love this weather!
Above is the newest magazine that I have a project in:
Spring special Quiltmania....available at Barnes and Noble.

This is the back cover....my project is the hoops saying...Home sweet home!

This is a French publication....the magazines are very high quality....good projects, nice thick paper, great photos!

This project is sooooo bright and cheerful....free motion sewing.....it is addicting!

Here is my ad...that I was proud to design myself....the more you learn on the computer the better I think.
Although I wanted to kill my computer about a month ago!
I feel like mine was alive with a nasty disposition...lol.
Can you smell my lilacs now?

Love is all you need!

Just for fun... I decided to paint some hearts...
Lots of hearts
and make them into necklaces!

Wish....
wishing for the attention of a certain someone...

hearts with messages

Pendants...that are a little piece of art in each one.

I used paints, inks, old papers, and more...to make them pop!

Good...we all need to know that we are good!

A special gift for mom....even though mother's day is over...it is still nice to tell her you love her.

I took all my pictures on this old clip board...attaching cool old papers under the clip....
so much fun.
These are all available on my Mrstiddlemouse etsy shop!

Happy Mother's day... 2014!

I want to wish all the mother's out there a ...
Happy Mother's day!
Above is my dear Mom....Betty Lou.
She has been gone along time now...but not forgotten!
She would have been 84.
Now I am a mom...and realize all the things she had to do and deal with....
but she had five...I only have one...lol
......................................
Every Mother's day she would get a Geranium from church...for having the most children who attended church...boy that was a long time ago.
........................................................
I love being a mom and wouldn't change it for the world.
I will always be Selina's mom and I am so very lucky!
...........................................
When Selina came into this world...my mom left it 20 days later.
I feel I have had two major sections of my life...one with my mom and the other with my daughter.
They didn't intersect for long.
.............................................
If you are a mom.....
take full advantage of this day!

Zodiac Embroideries- Aries - scorpio

Are you into horoscopes?
For some reason.....the zodiac signs and their characteristics seem to hold true with people I know.
It is kinda freaky!
I am a cancer....
Cancerian are very maternal and "home-oriented". Some words to describe crabs are: nurturing, domestic, emotional, moody, tenacious, strong-willed, gentle, kind, protective, sensitive, retentive, resourceful, self-contained, security oriented, warm, sympathetic, patriotic, sentimental, loving, touchy, clingy, over-protective.
Most of it fits.  I am not moody or clingy however.

I thought it would be fun to stitch up a zodiac sachet...fill with lavender....ready for the next birthdays that are coming.....easy gift.

Copy and save....these are the same ones above...just a tad larger...you may have to enlarge to the desired size.
Next week....look for the rest of the Zodiac symbols!

Liberty! Patriotic pillow...sweetness

It's my newest pattern!
Liberty patchwork pillow embroidery pattern #329

This uncle Sam kitty cat is ready to celebrate all the patriotic holidays. What a fun pillow to make for summer....simple and sweet.  The design can be made into this adorable patchwork pillow ...all the details are included in this pattern.
I added gold seed beads to the star uncle kitty Sam is holding.

This is the drawing from my little drawing book that I used to create this pattern.
I always sketch out my designs, clean them up and then stitch them up.
I love to then transform them to a pretty project.

Embroidery design measures: 6 3/4" x 9"
Finished Pillow measures: 14" x 20"
It will also be in my patternmart store and my website for printed/mailed patterns.

Redwork...for mother's day!

Mother's day is coming...it's this Sunday.
But there is still time to make this sweet redwork stitchery
before the big day.  The center design is 4"x 4"...with 2 borders, that are just strips of two different fabrics.  I made it into a small wallhanging...where I attached cheesecloth bows that hang on an old painted wooden spoon.
In the design you will notice a crown (which I think all mom's deserve), a butterfly (just because I think of mom's fluttering around their children...taking care of things).....and a key (to our hearts).
It was pretty easy since it was all done in red!
This is the pattern where the design comes from...there are 4 designs in the one pattern.

There is a prim crow design....with stars and flowers.

A sweet Be mine Valentine design....with lots of hearts.

and also a "This chick's had it" design...the momma chick says it all!
I have felt like this recently!
Sometimes I say to my husband...go ahead and take care of this issue...lol.
I can't do it all.
And he does...cause he is a sweetie!
---------------------------------------------
Appreciate others,
and they'll  give you the best that is in them.
