Naughty Santa! Freebie friday

This one cracks me up!  I love collecting old photos....this one was a whole dollar!  She has teeth...and lots of them.  I have another of her when she is smiling big time...and let me tell you...the girl has teeth!  She looks like a sweet soul though.  she is the freebie Friday...copy and print.  I love putting these in small frames...displayed around the house.
I made lots from old photos that I was done with....just add Santa hats, glitter, and a little saying!

Show me the merry...a play on words from Jerry McGuire (not sure if I spelled that right)....Show me the money.

She looks like she has pouted plenty!

Sometimes I use white felt for the trim of their hats, with dabs of glitter over it.

She is sweet...and a party girl no doubt!
Have a fun and frosty weekend!  I plan on watching some old corny Christmas shows!

This is part of  Whipper Berry...Friday Flair..go see everyone elses lovely items they made this week!

Picnic- Best Labor day movie ever!

Every year when I was a kid there were 2 things to be excited for specifically on labor day....One was the Jerry Lewis MD telethon, which we stayed up as late as possible to see like it was some glorious challenge.
Another exciting thing about Labor day was...the movie "Picnic" would come on TV.  This was before a million channels, I think we had 6 or 7 channels.  Every year you could count on it!
This movie is so good....it all takes place on one day.  A drifter comes to town and changes everything for the small community.  I love watching the interesting characters, all the heartache they have in their different ways, but also the uniqueness of them all.  Yes, it is hokey, and is dated (love looking at peoples clothes, home decor, cars, etc.)  but it is fun and truly celebrates the holiday.  For me, I wish I had been alive in 1955, to experience this simple living...but then I soon realize I love the here and now!
Try to see this movie if you can!!!

Sweetness

Ok....she is not exactly sweet...but she was somebodies baby once!
I love old photos...I love to collect them and use them in my art...but I also love to know these people had hopes and dreams, just like us.  I know her life was harder than mine....we are lucky to be alive now.
This is what she would say...."I am one frozen entree away from a nervous breakdown."  lol.
"Housework makes you ugly".
"Happy girls are the prettiest."
Ok.... I will stop.

My studio artwork

Hi, This morning I just want to share a few paintings I did which are in my studio.  I like to have my artwork(including my samples from my patterns) mixed in with things I love and other artists artwork.  It makes for a very happy place.  The painting above is my current fav.  My daughter glittered this heart for me!

This little girl I painted up as an experiment.....how a painting looks on old music paper.  The result is.....yes I like it.  Her eyse are HUGE.

This lady is among my pink tickets, pink girl figurine, old photos, and eiffel tower.

I have tons of containers for my markers, brushes, colored pencils, and so forth.  In the center of it all is my half painted lady....alittle bizarre, but fun!
It snowed again today....but it didn't stick....where is spring?

Freebie Friday- Lovely ladies

These ladies are so pretty...so many things you could do with them!  You could make tags, use them in college art, make cupcake toppers, ornaments, add fun sayings to them, and make cards with them.  I thought I would throw out some ideas.  If you have more ideas...please comment!
It is only a week until Christmas...time is running out...I need to get a few more lil things for my hubby.  As usual...I want to give my daughter all kinds of things, but I have to refrain alittle...she is the only child and is treated like gold, but I want to also teach and guide her for her life.  I want her to know she can stand on her own when she is an adult.  She changed the sheets and made our bed last night while I was in the shower...just to be kindly.  My cat lucky was on my bed lounging most of the day and since he is recovering from an injury...I let him be.  Boy am I rambling on and on!
Have a GREAT WEEKEND!
