Wednesday....was a hard day for me.  It just seemed like everything was going wrong or getting messed up.
There was little problems and big problems.....stressing me out.
Some thing I just had to let go and forget....but other things need problem solving and hard work.
But....
now that a couple days have passed ...
Things are looking up!
Copy and save this little gem above if you like.

Instructions come with pattern pieces, diagrams, and a photo page...full of 24 photos from my collection.
If you Change colors and banners.....these pins and necklaces could be made for any season, holiday, or for an everyday look. ex: I made the heart shaped necklace in pink wool with a banner that says "create" and other embellishments....it turned out so sweet!

Here are some of my Farm Chick show pictures...
Cool stuff I saw and also some of the goodies I bought...

This put together piece was huge and so cool!
Cameras....my daughter collects vintage cameras....and these are awesome.
This display was at the front of the Farm Chicks show as you walked in.
Drawer full of shiny beads....like a treasure.
The ideas at this show are overwhelming.
Ok....for some reason the creepy things attract me....there were lots of animals....
and look at that small pitcher full of doll eyeballs....lol.
She is sweet...reminds me of Marie Antoinette.
Baby arms with bracelets...lol.
So funny!
This one is sad....
This birdhouse was huge and super cool...you would need several dudes to carry this away for you.
I love this chandelier....a wire basket with tons of punch cups dangling from it...
very inventive.
Country wedding
I love how brides can just change things up now...I felt stuck in the traditional stuff...
Things is cool!
The squirrels in my backyard would be so mad at this!

Nice flowers.
What an old pony!
So many cool statement pieces.
More strange and unusual items...

There was sooooo much more....but it is SUPER CROWDED there and
you can only take pics occasionally ...because your eyes are going crazy and people are always in the way!

Farm chicks!
Look at this cool orange twine....
In a sugar container....you see these all the time at thrift stores.

Vintage Valentines

I got some new vintage Valentines this year...well I collect more every year....I add to it.
I thought I would share a few that caught my eye.
Above is the sweetest elephant...with the weirdest clown ever.  The nose cracks me up!

This Giraffe is cute and his neck moves.
I just love all the corny sayings and puns....they just don't make them like this anymore.
The valentines kids give to each other now are cheap pieces of paper....with funny edges and they have zero cute factor.
I love valentines with Kitties!
This one is cool because it was for teacher.
Plus the kitty is an artist...with beret and all...lol.

This couple really caught my eye...so tender....plus his hat is huge and reminds me of the mad hatter.
It has gold...I remember as a kid loving that gold on paper.
This one is from 1911.
I love the ornateness of this one.
On the back it says:
Dear Glen,
I wish you was out here.
I like school fine.
It has 23 scholors in role.
Goodbye answer soon
Charlie
They were both in Kansas.
What really gets me is how romantic the card looks....but maybe that didn't mean anything or maybe it did.
The postcard is 105 years old now.
I always wonder how things went for the two writing each other in these old letters and postcards....did they have a good life?
We will never know.

The soft side...of Christmas

I am a gal who likes traditional things for the most part.
I like Christmas to have lots of reds and greens...
but lately I have fell for the softer side of Christmas.
I love pretty pastels!
Above are some lovely pastels....a sweet merry Christmas sign (kinda has a retro vintage appeal), my snowman ornaments/shelf sitters and my "Where the tree top glistens" embroidered ornaments.
They are glittery ....I added some light bulb graphics to this picture for fun.
My tree for the past few years has been a white tree.
I never would have guessed I would like this....but when I saw how lovely one was in the movie "Edward Scissorhands"....I changed my mind.  Even my husband thinks it is great. We can always change back to green in the future.
My painting from last year is mainly soft....I just had to put a red door on it though!
My front door is also red.....but my house in not striped...it is white.
I was always fascinated by the ornaments that were glass...with centers that would go inward and just gleam!  I made some unbreakable ones from felt!
This is really soft....a regal French Christmas tree.
I think Marie Antoinette would have liked it!
So many soft colors became popular in the 50's and 60's.
I always imagine Andy Williams singing on a holiday special....corny yet fun!
I love making signs with that old time feeling.

All of these projects/designs can be found in my etsy shop.

Here is something for you to ponder:
Think big thoughts...
but relish small pleasures

Come to the pin me linky party , the party bunch, and thrifty thursday!
