Fun shopping at farm chicks & thrifting

We had a blast at the Farm Chick show....shopping til we dropped.
Here is my daughter wearing the tank top I got her from the show.
I got her this cool lil ornament...
Isn't it sweet.....it says she has a heart of gold!  It is from a fab designer- Beth Quinn
She also made these earrings....that go perfectly with a vintage inspired dress my daughter just bought...it is white with big blue retro flowers.
I know it is hard to see...but I got this cool wire rack that is for my supplies and at quilt shows...to hold my patterns.
Scrunched seam binding and lil crocheted pansies
I don' crochet...so I love these!
Vintage dishcloths to stitch on!
Bags of goodies

Ring blanks
Old wallpaper
Vintage Halloween noise maker
Vintage seam binding
Cool deer.....sorry the pic is bad.
Creepy squirrel mounted in a frame....it was expensive and was sold...lol.
The show was super duper crowded....when you saw something ....you should buy it because it won't be there when you come back.   Lots of cool stuff....not like any other antique show...that's for sure.
It was also HOT...in the 90's here!
WE also went thrifting!
Got a sweet shelf that needs painting.
Got some cool tshirts for my Selina
This is our Gonzaga bulldogs team...the basketball team is one of the tops in the country.
Yarn!
I love using these for everything but knitting or crocheting.
pans and candlesticks
They make a great supply holder!
Lovely pink curtains for my studio
Quilting and crafting templates
fun book
paper mache trees
homespun fabric and HOOPS
A cool ring for Selina....99 cents
Magazines for the history buff in me and canvases.

Easy peasy quilt needle case tutorial

Isn't this the cutest needle case ever?!!
It is super easy to make...great for using an old quilt that is beyond repair.
Inside is where you nestle your needles.
All you need is a piece of felt and a piece/scrap of an old quilt.

Just put the felt on top of the wrong side of you quilt scrap.

Fold in half and pin in place.
Sew along edge...5/8" away from fold.

Add scrunched seam binding (in a bow)....an old earring or other embellishment.
I also added a banner saying "Sweet".  For that take a small scrap of fabric....mine is a pink scrap.
Stamp the saying using a small stamp set.
Run clear tacky glue along edges of banner and sprinkle iridescent glitter on it.  Let dry.
Hot glue embellishments on.
Sooooo easy!!!

These would be great for gifts to your crafty friends or for craft shows!!

Betsy - the flag maker

This is an old adaptation of Betsy Ross making the flag.
Click on the pic...I think it will get larger.
I wonder of the story about the making of the flag is absolutely true?
I guess it doesn't matter...someone made it and did a darn good job of it!
Of course it is best now...with all 50 states.

Here is crazy Froy....this is just one of my shared pictures on instagram...
please check out my page.

He waits for me outside my studio....sometimes he jumps out at me from the bushes like a masher!

These weekend is the Farm chicks show in Spokane Washington...antiques, vintage and crafted goods.
I was a vendor for three years...a few years back...thought you might want to see a few pics from my booth back then.
I like shabby chic very much at the time.
Everything was banners, London, Paris....

And of course Marie Antoinette.
------
Tomorrow...I shop til I drop!
Can't wait to see all the goodies.

**Come back tomorrow for an awesome tutorial!!!**

Patriotic lady & old glory

I'm a patriotic lady ...are you?
I have always felt a ton of pride for our country....it is one of the reasons I joined the Air force.
I love decorating with flags and other decor this time of year....I put my  new ornaments made from this new pattern along my mantle....looks cool!
These chenille stem ornaments have a vintage flair...plus they are fun, easy, and quick to make.
All the artwork for 8 different designs are included in the pattern.
These are also in my patternmart and for printed/mailed pattern...my website.

There is: a flag waving, A bunny in the sun, Yankee doodle bunny, USA flag, Mid air fireworks, Firecrackers, a young girl with stars, and a yellow cat.
There are also banners: Stars and strips, Patriotic lady, True blue American, Let freedom ring, Long may she wave, Yankee doodle dandy, Life liberty and freedom, and Old glory.
Finished design measures: 6" x 6", not including hanger
The artwork could also be used as tags.
--------------------------
On a side note...this weekend here in our town is the Farm chicks....
It is one of the biggest Antiques, vintage and uniquely made products show in the country.
I used to be a vendor....it was a great....but t took alot of time away from my goals of designing....so now I have it best....shopping there with a great buddy!!  We have the best time!
Hope you can come!

Sum sum summertime

I think it is truly summertime now!
I can't wait to jump into my sister's pool...go camping....go to Seattle (lil visit), and all.
The warm weather has really hit us early.
I just created some summertime images in illustrator.
There are 14 different png clip art as shown above...each are separate in their own file. The backgrounds are transparent. These are high quality files.
There is a bunny in patriotic bathing suit, summer banner, anchor, toy boat, ice cream cone, Popsicle, smiling sun, margarita, lime, strawberry, lifesaver, star, shell, & starfish.

Here I put some of the images over this picture of my cat trix.
For a great free photo editor go to Pixlr
I love how she looks like she is holding the ice cream cone.
I caught her falling asleep in the tree...she was playing so hard with her siblings....it was hilarious.
I love the summer banner...I can't stop using it!
Here is an old pic of my sister Julie on the left, my dog sugar, and me.
I added shells, a boat and the summer banner.
I couldn't resist one more....my mock orange tree with a summer banner.
