Merry March to you!

Wow...Lovely March is here.
I am so happy...our snow melted and there is alot of green grass out there.
The green colors are so beautiful...life renewing!
To me...March is all about the green!

I painted this lil lady with shamrocks and thought it would be perfect for the March calendars.

I am really happy about things getting better on the covid fight.  Its been 2 long years.  I am hoping it is truly behind us now. I guess we will see.

I have a new little pattern:
Make these Chenille ornaments in no time. Artwork for dolls included!
These dolls are made using my doll faces... I painted.... a couple different leprechauns, a sassie lassie, bunny and cat. The images for faces are great resolution...they fit on one page...but can be print over and over.

I have pictures with all instructions....its super easy....simple supplies too! I give extra ideas too. Make a bunch for you and your friends!
Ornaments measures: 5 1/2" x 5"

There are 17 doll faces to a page. Copy artwork or print artwork again and make limitless dolls.
These dolls are great hanging in holiday trees, on gifts, would make cute wearable pins, great for craft shows and fun for your spring decor.

The cat's have a tail...big eyes!

This is an example of the doll heads sheet.
The one in the pattern is super great quality....all my own artwork.

More examples of how you can use the chenille stem dolls...put on top of a pot of gold.....

Hanging from a couple ornaments too.

I will make more soon.

Other stuff I recently made:

You know how I loved my precious cat Froy, who recently passed away...I made a little froy ornament of him...he is holding his favorite toy that I called rainbow snake.
This makes me smile and not so sad.

I painted this large painting of a girl and her butterflies.
It was fun and really was therapeutic.
Magic really comes from doing whatever art you like to do.
I take online art classes to learn something new...I love mindy lacefield ones....check out her youtube videos!

Have a Wonderful March!

Hello February 2022!

Wow...It's time for February and Valentine's day!
I am hoping spring will be right around the corner.
Until then, I am letting all the hearts....pretty pinks and reds...cheer me up!

I love the fun heart flowers...blooming in a meadow.
I do believe each holiday has many purposes.
As a school kid....it got me looking forward to another special day.
I think valentines takes some of the gloominess away...especially since it is still pretty cold.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I made some new valentine dolls!
Everytime I make new ones...I am thrilled with the process.
The cat sold immediately, the others are available.
I love raggedy Ann...she has always been a favorite of mine.
She has a crochet bow on her head and she is holding a valentine I made.

Here is the beginning stages of her and some heart ornaments.

Green eyes, flowers on her head and a ruffle skirt.
Her valentine is especially cute.

My daughter Selina always gives me good ideas...like putting this stitched word of love onto one of the hearts.

Learn to make your own...with my book, published by C&T Publishing.
There are detailed shots of every stage on the process.  That includes the painting steps too. My daughter Selina took all the detailed shots in the book.

This cat doll is in the book.   The sky's the limit on what you can create.
-----------------------------------------------------------
I also made some finished valentines for my etsy shop.

Plus lots more!

------------------------------------------------------------------------
I want to remind you to follow me on Instagram....It's where I post everyday...
sometimes it is really timely. Like I posted about my snoopy ornament....and it sold minutes later.
I don't want you to miss out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you live in Spokane Washington....come see our vendor booth called the Great northwest vendor mall. We sell patterns, wood pendant blanks, glittered albums, art, ornaments and antiques.
Plus there are tons of other vendors with cool stuff too.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now to the sad news
I had to put my beloved cat Froy down.
He has been sick for a month....it started with him not bathing as much...
then drooling a bit.
One day he would seem better, then it would get worse.
He was drooling brownish saliva.
He couldn't eat dry food.
He was getting messy...but I cleaned him and gave him wet food.
Him gums seemed swollen.
I took him to emergency and they gave him antibiotics and nutrients.
I took him to my regular dr and they said his teeth and gums needed cleaning.
I called again because he seemed to be so hungry and had problems drinking water.
That time they saw a big mass under his tongue...he had a fever....thinking its cancer.

It was sooooo hard to make the decision to put him to sleep.
I selfishly wanted him to be alive....but his suffering was terrible.
He was the cutest kitten ever.
He was my constant companion,
my 13 year old baby.
This was his last playful day.
I would have never guessed it...I thought he was getting better.

I have cried so much my face hurts....my heart hurts....I miss him so much.
We have his ashes now and I placed a picture of him by it.
The gray bow is for his gray fur.

I just got this sweet card from the vet....plus Froy's paw prints.
He always said hello to me in the office, crafted with me in my studio, gardened, snuggled, sometimes would be a bully but most of the time was sweet.
Life is not going to be the same without him.
I guess I will just grieve and see what happens.
------------------------------------------
Let's leave on a happy note...
How about some vintage valentines!

Happy February!

Happy December- goodbye 2020

Happy December...it's great that this is the last month of 2020!
It's been a horrible year for most of us and I say good riddance.
Hopefully the covid vaccine will be soon available or everyone! Wouldn't it be wonderful to get back to sort of normal?!

Earlier this year in September, I had a stroke.
I posted about it in November.
I then found out I had a mass in my uterus and diabetes.  Cancer was a possibility too.
I spent 8 days at the hospital.

Then in November I had a hysterectomy removing everything...the mass was the size of a watermelon!
Plus she removed my appendix. That was another awful hospital stay.  I felt split in half.
It was also like going back a few steps. No cancer however!

I was really down and felt little to no joy.
My incision started to bleed too....so I went to urgent care on black friday.
The dr got me fixed up and now I am not bleeding.  Thankfully things are going better.
I just want to be well! I have to recover for 6 weeks, so I am going to concentrate on taking it easy!

No more complaining from me....I am going to think only good thoughts for this holiday season and beyond.

Recently I hit a major milestone in my Etsy shop...10,000 sales!
It seems like it took a while, but I knew I would make it this year.
I love Etsy... it's been a great source to sell on!

For fun I have been drawing and working with pastels....like making this pink snowman.
I have also been cross stitching, crocheting, working on finishing touches on a new book and embroidery of course.
I have not been over doing it...just trying to enjoy myself.

While shopping at JoAnn fabrics.....guess what I saw? My book!
I was geeking out...lol.  It is thrilling to see your book at stores...I can never have enough of it.

When my daughter  turned 23... her man got her a kitty.....Mr. Dale. He is full of energy and so cute. When you kiss him, he gives a cute complaining meow.
He just got fixed...lol. He is back to normal... frisking it up!

And this is my boy Froy....looking like the wicked witch of the east...he is laying where the heater vent is. His boots are pretty cute.

What I drew this month:
I sketched out a three kitty design in a stocking, just coming up with ideas... lots of mistakes.

I then redrew it on the computer and added a fun saying. This one is in my etsy shop.

I had so many ideas, but some will just have to wait until next year.

Hoping this next year will be soooo much better than this one!
