Craft show time!!!!

We were very lucky to get in this show...so last minute.

My daughter Selina and I shared a booth! 

I had lots of fabric free motion quilted pins and little hand embroidery inspirational pillow tucks. 

Selina's  pendants were on these cool wire lamp shades.

I had some fun prim Christmas stars. 

I love to use old photos...and add a Santa hat...lol.

The sun was shining...casting a nice warm glow.

It was really nice to talk and laugh with customers.

There was alot of shabby chic going on in our booth.

That is my mom in the above picture....she was a Navy Vet.

This is my husband Dana...he was Air force. 

My grandfather was in WW1...the first world war....

Met up with his brother in Normandy.

My dad was in the Royal Air force....I don't have a pic of him in uniform though.

And this is me....I am a disabled Air Force vet.

I have other family members that served as well....2 uncles, a cousin, and more.

Country drives....still fun

Yesterday we rode around the countryside ....hitting small and tiny towns outside of Spokane.

We enjoyed Rosalia ....it had lots of photo opportunities.

Here is my daughter Selina....with a Greek goddess painter...she has a palette and paint brush.

Selina has an etsy shop with her photography...Peacock Gumdrop.

She will soon have her new pictures up....including the creepiest old abandoned church....we were kinda scared! 

It felt like a ghost could have gotten us.

I love this...near the town main street.

It has a big flag in the rock.

I wish I could reveal more, but my daughter will be making cool prints of our adventures.

Summer is almost here.....some say summer begins right after Memorial day. 

This is a brand new sign in my etsy shop....simple and sweet.

The color is an orange and light orange/yellow.....feels warm like summer.

They are fun to put out among shells on shelves....in scrapbooking pages....and on a barbecue table display.

I am so excited to be sitting under the patio and relaxing....feeling warm instead of freezing.

I just need to keep the darned Prairie dogs away.

Glittery art spool stands

I am pulling out the glitter again!

I wanted to make little stands for my artist's trading cards! 

These little pieces of art deserve some attention.....not to just be tucked away all the time!

Start out with empty spools and paper clips.

These are often at thrift stores and at antique stores in bags.

Collect up a variety of sizes.  Small paperclips seem to be a little too small.

Insert your paper clips and hot glue them in place.

Make sure the clip area is on top so you can put a card in it.

Get out your glitter, elmers glue, and paintbrush.

Apply a generous amount to the spool.

Sprinkle and shake off.

Pretty!

Let dry!

Here is my mom....I made her into a valentine.

More valentines....sweets for the sweet!

My thanks vets atc.....see how I didn't put enough glue on this spool!

I love these.  I am sure they could hold all kinds of things...like cards, display info at a craft show, placecards at a dinner table, alittle favorite saying to inspire you....etc....

I hope you glitter it up!

I am a vet....so is my husband, my mother, my father, my cousin, my uncles, and my step-son.

This is a beautiful Vietnam Veterans memorial statue in our city park of Spokane Washington.

I want to thank all the veterans who served...giving us this wonderful country that we live in.....without them....who knows what would have happened.  My grandfather...Chester....fought in WWI on the beaches of Normandy.  He was born in 1895!  He had passed before I was born (our family always waits to have children)  My mom was born is 1931 and I was born in 1967.  I had my daughter in 1997.  My husband and I are vets....so was my mother and other relatives too.  My father was a vet for the British Royal Air Force.  He loves America and would never live anywhere else!

Boy am I rambling.....Please have a wonderful Memorial Day!
