I like to take flower pictures when I take my walk...they are so pretty and I can only plant so many...

I have the rockiest soil.

I love to find the color palettes in them and use them in adobe illustrator projects.

I can use these wonderful colors and not have to think about picking out all these colors.

These lavender plants are so fragrant and I love the shades of purple.

My daughter uses lavender to set her pendants in....the scent is great. 

Wild white roses....these are a nice set of neutrals....which I hate picking.

I love collecting vibrant colors....but for good color combos ...you need these guys.

These are some of my favorite colors...so summery and seem like Popsicle flavors.

These also smelled fantastic. 

I love pink!

I don't know what they are, but they were gorgeous!

Sometimes color palettes are great for painting, for home decor, for coloring in those cool coloring books and of course...for stitching or punchneedle!

I love the thought of getting out my DMC floss and finding these matches!

Giving Thanks

Wow ...Thanksgiving is almost here....the turkey is thawing in the fridge!

We just got a little snow...it is beginning to look like winter~!

I thought I would share alittle home decor....my Thanksgiving.

Above is a cute doll holding a pumpkin...the embroidery is not mine...bareroots I believe,

This was a Terra cotta turkey I was gonna throw out...but I gave him the dry brush with white paint treatment...I wanted him to stay.

Oh...I love my daughters art....this one makes me misty.

I love decorating for each holiday....it is a sickness really.

If the Turkey is dry....

Hey Everyone....this is my new sign...pretty funny huh!

Nothing worse than a dry turkey...lol.

I can't wait to have turkey and the fixings....I have been on weight watchers since the end of July...lost 32 pounds.  I am going to save my points and eat some of my fav foods....and enjoy the day.  I am very happy with weight watchers...love budgeting my points and still I get to eat alot of what I love.

I think the key to true happiness is being thankful and grateful!

I also believe in love being the most important thing there is. 

I am going to try to not stuff myself...because it feels so bad to have an achy tummy.

I would like to take a nice walk...if the weather permits. 

I love pumpkin pie....but I only have it this one time a year.

It always reminds me of mom...she has been gone 18 years....so I love having a bit of her around.

She made wonderful pies....the best crust...so flaky. 

Do you have traditions that really bring back the memories?

I got out a box of "Memories" the other day while looking for my air force picture... it is amazing how life is so different now.

Back then things were simple...which is both good and bad.

Sometimes it seems that we have 7 or 8 lives in one...all very different according to the stages of life.

I am thankful for everything...the past, present and future.

"Thanks mom" tag tutorial

Need a little something for Mother's day?

Make a cute tag to reminder her that you are thankful for having such a wonderful mom.

Sometimes saying thanks is the kindest thing to say.

If my mom were still alive...I would tell her thanks...she did a lot for us kids!

Now that I am a mom....I can really tell all the sacrifices and things she did day in and day out!

Follow the simple directions below.

 

 

Pattern pieces for thanks mom tag are above.

Just a reminder on the stamps I use...they are a dollar at Walmart...for a whole set of letters!

Ask a clerk if you don't see them.  They come in all kinds of different fonts.

For the ink pad I use Stazon...in brown...in becomes permanent ink.

The tags are from Staples...you get a ton for a good price there.

I used wool for the flowers and fabric scraps for the stamping.
