Thanks with hearts tag freebie...plus color palettes

Sometimes the hardest thing to say is
Thanks.
Maybe this tag will make it easier!
This would be great to have a bunch ready for when you need them....grab and go.
Copy and save!

*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make a couple finished goods (no mass producing) and a couple gifts...they are still legally my designs.
*************************************
I like to take flower pictures when I take my walk...they are so pretty and I can only plant so many...
I have the rockiest soil.
I love to find the color palettes in them and use them in adobe illustrator projects.
I can use these wonderful colors and not have to think about picking out all these colors.
These lavender plants are so fragrant and I love the shades of purple.
My daughter uses lavender to set her pendants in....the scent is great.
Wild white roses....these are a nice set of neutrals....which I hate picking.
I love collecting vibrant colors....but for good color combos ...you need these guys.

These are some of my favorite colors...so summery and seem like Popsicle flavors.
These also smelled fantastic.
I love pink!
I don't know what they are, but they were gorgeous!
Sometimes color palettes are great for painting, for home decor, for coloring in those cool coloring books and of course...for stitching or punchneedle!
I love the thought of getting out my DMC floss and finding these matches!

Happy
Weekend!

May day!!! Freebie!!

Yay!!!
It's MAY!
I drew this up the other day....on my patio....enjoying the sun,
birds chirping...
and I just thought how nice it was that May is here!
I am looking forward to these next few months of lovely warm/hot weather.
Save this freebie....stitch it up!

*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make finished goods (no mass producing) and gifts...they are still legally my designs.
----------------------------------------

This is how the freebie started...just a drawing in pencil....then I went over it with a black marker.

Erased the pencil lines....then added the Bee later.

I cleaned it up again in Adobe Illustrator.

--------------------------------------
I made some fun color palettes using my photos...makes a great way to pic colors for a design project, painting, home decor palette...and so on.
Above is my lilacs which are now in full bloom.
I took the colors from my snail pattern...I like seeing what color combos can appear that I didn't see by just looking at it.
Lots of colors I love from this one.
I love pink and green!
I would love to make these colors in a quilt.
Pears...from Greenbluff....a nearby town that has tons of little farms making the community.

Seems like the colors in nature are just perfect right now!
I plan on taking more pictures outside and enjoying the fresh air!

What are your plans for the weekend?

Pretty color palettes

I love working with color palettes.
Here I took a watercolor painting I did ...years ago....and extracted some colors out of it....using Adobe Illustrator.
These colors can then be used in other projects.
It is great when you really like a set of colors from something.

Here is an old valentine...scanned in and some of my favorite colors extracted out.
I like doing this since I usually get bogged down with the same color choices all the time.
I tend to use the same over and over ....when there are tons of colors out there.
Here is a picture my daughter took.
It has some lovely colors!!
I took out lots of colors for this one!
I have used these colors for many illustrator projects.
This would also be handy when painting too....not knowing what colors I would like....I could refer to this!
It is fun to just take any photo I have....that may have some great color...and getting this color group.
On adobe illustrator, there is this tool that is called an ink dropper.
You can fill a rectangle with the ink dropper tool....by having the ink dropper tool over any color in the photo you want.  It is like basically selecting colors...with just a click of the mouse.
--------
Notice colors around you.
What colors do you use in projects?
What colors do you decorate with?
Sometimes going through old magazines...ripping out pics you like then noticing the colors....gives you great insight.
-------------------
I took this on a country drive last summer....I have spring fever bad!
I am thankful our winter has been pretty good though.
I am really looking forward to those signs of spring!

Don't quit your day dream!
