Stitch this up to brighten a friends day!
click on pic...copy and save....print.

*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make a couple finished goods (no mass producing) and a couple gifts...they are still legally my designs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week on the surface pattern design
instagram photo challenge....
This is my work in progress....which I finished a little later...into a spring time banner.

This is a simple pattern...just my little posies on a purple background.
I love these colors and seem to always drift back to them!
Lilacs are my absolute favorite flower...every since I was a kid and our double lot was full of them...I have been in love.
I remember cutting big bunches for inside...they were always so top heavy.
I made this color palette from this pic we took .... nothing better than nature to get great colors.
This is a focal point pattern...the star of the fabric line - if it was a collection...which I hope it will be.
It is Cherry blossoms.
Finally...these are some coordinating patterns to go with the Cherry blossoms.
They can be changed in scale and also in color....very easily.
I like this one the best!
Soft and sweet!

Have a
Happy Fri-yay!

Creative goodies & sneak peak

It's a beautiful day!
I wanted to show you some of my latest thrift store creative goodies.
Above is vintage seam binding....a little thinner than the kind you find now days....so cool.
These came in 100 yard rolls....1.25 and 1.00 each......yeah!!!!
I was in heaven.
Of course there were all kinds of stuff I said no to because I am trying to limit my hoard of stuff!

This is a huge circle thread holder...I love this and I love the look of vintage thread!
It came with E. T. chalk from the movie E. T. ....strange.

I needed a huge artist's brayer!

A cool pattern with all the supplies....love it.
This is a bad picture, but I love collecting some fancy fabrics for velvet strawberries and fabric flowers.
--------------------------
This is a sneaky peak of my next pattern....which will be available soon!
Faux cross stitch.....flower tags!
These are super easy, comes with tags in three sizes....and much more.....
tell you about it all when its done!

My shopping haul...crafting goodies

I went to my sisters town this past weekend...had a blast.
We had good meals, talked and laughed, hot tubbed, and shopped til we dropped.
I want to show you what I got....that is crafting related.
I got all kinds of fun goodies.

I got beads, gems, and vintage buttons!  Pretty darned cheap too.

I love this big bag of white buttons....2 bucks!

There were all kinds of bundles of fabric.....did I need them....not telling.

LOVE the Halloween fabric...the pumpkin fabric I have had before....one of my favorites.

Dennison Halloween booklet....for a dollar!!!!
I grabbed that faster than fast.  I also got some old witch diecuts....I will have to take a pic of that later.

a cool bead necktie for my daughter...needs a little repair.

Bundles for a buck

Love the blue gem cameo.

Wild animal print for my daughter.....rick rack for me.....again did I need more stuff?

Vintage lace...yes I needed it!!!
I also got some lovely Kelly Rae Robert stuff....a canvas print and cool mirror.
Got records (love vinyl) and clothes too.
My daughter has a new wardrobe I think....thank god some of it came from thrifting.
I need a nap to catch up on this wild weekend.

My daughter at Octopus garden....hats with wigs!
That store is a whole lot of fun.

Sunday morning...at McDonald's for breakfast....imitating Miley Cyrus on Saturday night live.
That's my crazy sister...Angie.

Old Halloween yummies

Happy chilly autumn to ya!
Our temp went from 90's....to 50's in a flash....what's with this crazy weather?
I wanted to share some fun pictures with you....old Halloween ideas for goodies.
They are fun.... a little weird...and kooky.
These all come from cookbooks.
The pumpkin is cheerful....but totally different from the cakes from the magazines now.

I think you'll have to click on this to see it larger.....how to cut up a gumdrop to make a cat from a cupcake.  The pumpkin seems much easier....he he he.

This is my favorite....a dad with the kids....i guess mom is taking the pic because in real life mom would be in there.  It is super fun though.

I remember people giving popcorn balls as treats on Halloween night....apples too.  One lady gave Popsicles (in Washington state?)...I loved that house.  One old man would give dimes....I was shocked.  This was the one time a year that the candy was all mine....we didn't have to share.  We lived in a home where the only snack was a nice piece of toast.  When my mom cooked...you got your portion and that was it....because it was gone.  So this trick or treat deal was major!

I used to inspect my daughters candy like I was an FBI agent.  She would only eat Hershey's and some nerds.  She didn't like candy.....I was always shocked and took over the candy and also bagged some up for her grandpa.  He loved getting these goodies (he is a thrifty Scotsman).

Freebie Friday- Life is good!

This is the third week of an 8 week all Summer long freebie friday event!!!! The theme is Inspiration!!!

Each Friday I will give you a design...like the "Life is good" design and by the end of 8 weeks you will have some beautiful Embroidery bowl fillers, pillow tucks, or ornaments. You could also use the designs to make other items like wearable pins or small pin cushions.

Take a scrap piece of muslin and trace the LIFE IS GOOD design onto it. I like using a disappearing marker....that disappears when water is applied to it. On my left sidebar is a tip on how to make a lightbox to trace embroidery designs.

Also trace the square around design. Back-stitch your word on muslin in any color you choose. Trim muslin design down....1/4" away from outside square. Remove disappearing marker and let dry. Make into a mini pillow...with a backing and stuff it. One bowl filler is done. These also make great pillow tucks on a shelf. Tell your friends about the all summer long freebie friday!!! The previous weeks were: Dream and Choose joy.

These lil pillows are very fast to whip up...so lets get started...I will post mine also....it would be GREAT to see yours too!!!!

Come join the friday flair party at...Whipperberry!!!!
