It's five o'clock somewhere...freebie friday

It's five o'clock somewhere...yay!
This is the Friday Freebie this week!
This design is perfect for my daughter Selina's mini hoop pendant blanks.
This is super easy to stitch and fast too!
Just copy and print out.
Transfer the design with a light box or window onto muslin using a disappearing marker.
Put your muslin in an embroidery hoop and choose some floss colors.
For the center are of the design...I added little tiny wool scraps...I just added a french knot center and stitched down the edges.
Then I removed the marker with water.
Then popped it into the pendant blank.

Her mini hoop packs comes with instructions and a free pattern...."Hello".
They can be necklaces, pin/brooches, magnets and even a key chain.
I love how this turned out and it kind of reminds me of the watch the white rabbit holds in Alice in wonderland.

Spooky days ahead...
My Witch Mannequin dress form pattern is the sale pattern of the week!
These are some of the mannequins I have made in the past...all sold quickly.
Each one can look different....choosing different fabric, photos, embellishments...etc..
Notice the glittery stars...just cardboard with glitter on top!
The skirts can be paper, yarn, ribbons, and string.
The shawls are cheesecloth....
This one has a tulle skirt and an "EEK" badge.
This is a great craft show seller!

Mini embroidery hoop pendants

Hello!
It's finally the new year!
Did you have a good holiday?
I did...soooo busy....so it is good to be back to normal.
My daughter has opened up her new etsy shop:
She makes the wooden pendant blanks above.
I stitched up some designs....which will be a pattern soon!
She is a senior in high school and will graduate this June.
She cut these wood pendant blanks..which are perfect for framing embroidery designs.
This "Paris" one is for sale...a sweet vintage fabric with the word paris.
This one she made says "Cutie"
Another is a drawing on muslin...just in time for Valentine's day.
When you buy any of her pendant blanks...you get a "How-to" sheet and this "Hello" pattern design above.
She made this one with a paper flower.
She didn't want to sell this...but she can make another for herself....lol.
This design will be part of my pattern... 12 designs in one.
There will be a deer, some Christmas, valentines, a birdie, pumpkin, and many more.
Some designs will have the capability to put initials or letters in them...you will see.

Gotta get to work on it!
Come visit my daughter's new shop!
Her Photography shop is Peacock Gumdrop

Smart sewing & birthday surprise!

My sister bought a few old magazines at a thrift shop....I thought you might get a kick out of some of the pages,
I love the cover above...cute tomato pincushion and through each pin is a category in the magazine.

This I love the most....festive fancy aprons for the holidays.
They have the cutest designs.....but the tulle/chiffon type fabric cracks me up.
As if those aprons are functional at all!
I guess you were supposed to wear a cute dress and put on the see through apron..haha.

I had to throw in a pic of Froy... on my new quilt...he doesn't care if his boots are dirty or not.
This cat is called "the most Precious" sometimes because he is young and not the sharpest crayon in the box.

Back to the old magazines...
This one has sweet strawberries.
It is a simple design that is really classic.

I love the patches on the kids jumper.
So old fashioned.
No one makes designs like these anymore....it really shows you the innocence of the times.

The cat is in on the front of the girls jumper...maybe like a pocket.
It seems like I have seen these used as small potholders too.

My great pal Marilyn, sent me a fun package of goodies for my birthday (we share the same b-day)....There was a sweet Happy birthday party girl, pocket token, bookmark(that is what I am going to use it for), crazy tackz (fun tacks with hooks and embellishments on them), and tons of wire forms....some shown here. Plus some bonus stuff....I'm very happy!
Marilyn is very good at paper crafting...she is the queen.
I have been wanting some crazy tackz ... she helped with design and use ideas for this product.  Each tack has hooks and most with a decorative quality.

These wire forms are cool.
She gave me a alot..I need to organize them.
I feel so blessed!

Come to the pin me linky party!   Come to what to do weekend also!
