Christmas village & quilt show

Hey everyone!
I have been very busy lately....I bet you have been too!
Up above is a Christmas painting....kind of Grandma Moses style....that I recently painted.
See the snowmen waving to each other.
In the center of the painting is the Christmas tree, my favorite part.
I like to have a child like quality in my paintings.
This little red house is decked with lights and a wreath!
Here is how I start out my paintings....covering the canvas with old papers and gesso.
I then pencil in the basic features I will be painting.
I added trees
and then added the house
I try to leave some paper uncovered....I got quite carried away with paint though.
I added rock driveways and paths.
The moon is glowing...and I just keep adding layer after layer.
The process is fun and I just work on other areas of the painting while some of it dries...
it is such fun.

Here are some pics from my booth at the WSQ Quilt show...which was last weekend!
You know I love Halloween!
I had a big double booth...which was awesome!
Here is a shot of the whole booth from the far corner.
She had lots of finished rings and earrings.
My mannequin was all dolled up in halloween...People loved the big corsages.
Selina's needle minders are  always a big hit...they make great gifts.
which are featured in the current Winter 2019 Quilts and more magazine!
They designed a few free designs to go with her products!   Check out the magazine at news stands now.
I am so proud of her!
My valentines....so cheerful!
My Thanksgiving ornaments....I love them.
Everyone enjoys this ghost....he has been handled a lot...he is hanging with the willow tree.
I got this rotating display at a thrift store recently....very happy with it.
We got out banner from vista print...I designed it and downloaded it on vista print...very easy and pretty cheap.
I really cram as many samples as I can into my booth.
Selina made some new key chains for Quilters.
My coloring calendars for 2019...with crayons...and my fabric!
The embroidery dolls with their mini quilts and my new wool treat boxes....
We had great fun, it was my best show ever.....and I loved talking to all the customers and new friends.

I really can't get enough of fake measuring tapes and trims
This winter landscape is easy and fun to do...

Live simply, Love greatly

Love....a prim and simple sentiment....
Above is My new pattern: Live simply, Love greatly #349
Raggedy Ann is sweetly revealing her Love.  Such a charming embroidery project....so quick, easy and fun to do.  Finish the embroidery in a simple hoop.
This makes a great gift and is so
lovely in your home decor.
Available on etsy
For the printed and mailed pattern go to my website.

Hope you are enjoying your day.
I plan to work on a few things in my studio....the weather here in Washington is pretty darned nice....we seem to get less and less bad weather as the years go by.
As a child....we always had lots of snow...every winter.
Now we get a dusting or an inch or two...nothing big...then it melts.
Maybe Spring is coming...crossing fingers!

A Christmas of JOY

Good Monday to you!
I want to share a few things with you.....
Yesterday I had a wonderful 18 year wedding Anniversary!
My hubby bought me a Silver Irish ring...which is just what I wanted!
We went out and saw the Exodus movie and had a great time shopping and looking at lights!
I'm thankful to have such an awesome husband!
-------
Above is my latest pattern....
I wish thee a Christmas of joy!
It is on my website as well...in a printed/mailed form.
This dashing reindeer is saying " I wish thee a Christmas of joy". Such a charming embroidery project....so quick, easy and fun to do. Add shading, glitter and small bells to the design... simply sweet! Finish the embroidery in a hoop with a big yarn bow.
Cozy up next to the fireside and stitch this sweetie today! This makes a great gift for a special pal, looks great hanging in your home, & also is a fun craft show seller.
Finished design in hoop measures:
10 1/2" x 10 3/4"
Embroidery design measures:
8 3/4" x 5 1/2"
I set up my bulletin board a little better. This is my new office space....not in my studio.
I am trying to put things up I have either made, things that inspire me, and things that are coming up.
This beautiful artwork is from my daughter...she made this a few years back.  It is hanging in my office....the colors are gorgeous.  I love having pieces of her around me.
I hung up some more paintings....this is above my desk and computer.
My house is full of old wall paper....my house is ....OLD.  1921.
Wallpaper hides the cracking in the plaster...the yellow is just hokey enough to make it cool again....lol.
I love my old globe my hubby got me...next to the gum my pal Marilyn sent me.
I have springy twigs with felt balls and birds high up near the ceiling.
MORE HOKEY GOODNESS
I had to share with you this Santa on the house story.
Back in the 70's when I was a kid....we didn't have that many decorations...maybe a box for ornaments and a box for a few decos.
We got a Santa on the house one Christmas from Kmart.
I was is heaven.
You pull the Santa which has a string....and he can ski up to the chimney...as a music box plays...jingle bells.
He would slowly ski up....it was magical.
We played with it so much it fell apart.
Eventually is was a shambles....and I saved the music box part for years....just a small white box.
Then....ebay came along....There was this wonderful item...never used in the box.....for $4.99!!!!!
I was soooo excited....now my daughter loves this and she will get it for her kids....in the future of course....she is only 17.

Sometimes the simplest things can bring such happiness!

Come to Thrifty thursday!!
