My new business card & sneaky peaks

I finally made my new business card....I was meaning to do this for months!
I took my embroidery design and using Adobe illustrator....I added a background and text.
I uploaded this to vistaprint....picked glossy cards....and purchased.
They shipped really fast and now I have some pretty cards.

This is a sneaky peak of my next pattern design...I must tell you no more!
Except that I am really excited about them!

Here is another thing in the works...which I think the pattern will be a big hit at the Washington state quilt show!
I will show you more pics later.
This is a collage sheet I made years ago...it needed some new pics...so I went for it.
They are Halloween labels...one sheet with words and the other without.

Here are some in use....Spooky graveyard dust....my lavender jar.
These could be added to bottles, tins, boxes, jars, knobs, and used in mixed media.
Little goblin goodies....great for treats.
Spells ...2 bits.  I put this label on a paper mache box that I painted and sanded.
Evil arsenic poison....on an orange enamel cup.

Witches cackle....wickedly frightful.
I am happy the pics turned out way better than my old ones.
I have learned alot  about photography since then.

Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make finished goods (no mass producing) and gifts...they are still legally my designs.

Today is the 14 year anniversary of 9-11
This day is always so sad....yet I feel our patriotism just soars.
I painted this the day after 9-11-2001
I got it off my old computer.

I will probably be watching all the 911 shows on tv.
What were you doing when the planes hit the towers?
I was checking my ebay listings on the computer and aol had the big news.
I ran to my bedroom and turned on the tv...at that point the first tower fell.
We were shocked.
I started to cry and then I got the feeling that the other one would fall too....then it did.
I remember all the planes being grounded and not a sound from the air.

Let's remember the day and never forget.

Halloween Jack

I can smell autumn dancing in the breeze....
This is my newest pattern:Halloween Jack Punch needle Pattern, #361
Celebrate a Merry Halloween...this punch needle design is perfect for your spooky home decor!
What a cute box topper & handy to store little supplies or treats. This punches up fast & is very easy. The banner says "Spooky" . The box is paper mache (1 Dollar at jo ann fabrics)...easy to make it look old.
I wanted to put candy corn in it, but I have not seen a smaller bag of it yet.
Every bag I see is huge and I would never eat that much candy corn ...lol.
This pattern is in my etsy shop and my Patternmart.
This is also available as a printed and mailed pattern on my website.
Finished punched design measures: 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
I really love these fall colors...somehow it just makes me happier.
Have you decorated for fall?
I have not yet....I kinda want to and yet...I just want to put up Halloween when it is a touch closer.

Our County fair is coming this weekend and goes for 10 days...I can't wait to see if my daughter and I won prizes....hehehe.
I shall take pics!

Birthday, fabric, Halloween and stuff

My daughter, my one and only, turned 18 this weekend!!
She had a fun party with relatives and friends,
Here she is with her friends and her boyfriend bowing down like a knight...she is the queen...right?!
Blowing out the Darth Vader cake.
She had a great day and we all did too.
*******************************
Had to show you my latest score of thrift store fabric!
There was a lot of Halloween fabric...who would give this up?
Crazy huh!
The turkeys are funny!
I love the leaves with acorns...I was in heaven.
This is a design I think will not make it as a pattern...I just don't like it enough.
It was something I was finishing up from last year.
My picture's colors are off.
Some things in my studio....
Big bowl of scrunched seam binding...waiting for me to grab at it.
Thrift store bowls are great for storing things.
I have racks for pretty papers...these witches came out of hiding...
they are cabinet cards I dolled up.
A little wall hanging...made from one of the months in my raggedy Ann quilt.
This is the 12 month raggedy quilt ....it is one of my pattern designs.
This is a huge badge...hanging in my studio.

Now for a few HAlloweeny designs...
I love paper mache boxes. I also love using those battery operated tea lights..the glow is so sweet.
The pattern is also in my etsy shop.
She is a very popular pattern.
I love how old it looks....when it isn't.
The artwork is included in the pattern.
Notice the scrunched seam binding bow...it adds a little 3D element to the lil pillow.
......................
Now I got to bring the items me and my daughter are entering in the fair to the fairgrounds and later to get her drivers license.....which she passed both tests a while ago...she had to wait to either turn 18 or have her learners permit for 6 months.  State rules...so crazy!
I got my license the day I turned 16 ...no rules.

Happy Tuesday!!!

These are my witchy labels...
There are 8 in this set, All are labels of potions and spells for bottles, jars, boxes, and containers.
This is a digital download ...You can print them off and use them over and over.

I put this one on a big jar of lavender.
Some sayings are: Win the lottery verses, Glamorous potion, Skinny for eternity, Spells to win against rivals, and to steal men away, Find your soul mate, no more regrets, eternal youth, and Ugly curses.

You can easily change the size of the labels when the print page comes up...under page scaling. There is a custom scaling option.
This would be a great spell...if it worked...lol.
These are how the two collage sheets look printed on paper.
I found my soul mate....so I personally don't need this on.  HEHEHE
I could use some more glamour.
Here is a Sneak peak of my next patterns...
a Needle punch...
A lil quilt.....
Can't wait to show you the finished pics and all!

Welcome Weekend!!!

Yay...It's September!
And it is my daughter's first day of 12th grade
She is a senior!!
I always take a first day of school pic....this is the last time

I am sure she will have lots of stories to tell me when she gets home.
I have a million projects in the works...and now I will have some serious time to actually
WORK!
In the meantime...
I thought I would share some books I have gotten recently.
Think happy be happy ...is a cute thick lil book filled with inspiration and art.
See....so cool.
I love looking at it when I feel upset...
It calms me right down.
I love collecting old school books!
Especially when it has elements of Halloween in it!
This is old and so useful
I know my pic is blurry...but there is all kinds of phrases...which I could use on tons of projects.
This book I got at Hallmark.
The sweetest Halloween book ever!
The graphics are great....colors are bright and cheerful!
The story is cute and I am really inspired by this...so I had to have it.
Owls!!
Coloring is soooo popular....gotta get my crayons out.
Old vintage coloring books are great too!
I have a huge collection now.
I do love the school teacher owl on the cover.

I promise to show you what I have been working on soon...
I have patterns to write, pictures to take...a long list of to-do's...
Plus my daughters birthday is Saturday....panic!!!
I guess I will take things one step at a time!
