Don't we just want spring already!

I did see a lovely bud on a lilac tree yesterday....the kind of bud that will be a leaf. 

I want to take walks again....without freezing to death.

I want to walk around my house barefoot (no socks or slippers)

I want to hear more birds chirping!

Oh well...I guess spring will come in its own time.

I am working on a project that is getting me all excited....it is more work than I thought....but will be so worth it....I will announce it soon!  Please be patient with me!

Send in the clowns...

I am not a big fan of clowns....but this has to be the cutest clown ever!

Nothing scary about this guy.  I have a huge collection of valentines...just love them and the corny sayings.

Kitty cat love...so sweet.  Those are naughty green eyes!

Bowling?  yes...bowling is fun...and I love how it is used for a valentine card.

I thought this was an astronaut...but If I could just read...it says something about being sunk...so I guess he is a deep sea diver?  The drawings are fab!

Seems like Valentines is almost here!

This is a lovely sentiment....and can be used not only for your mate, but for your children & parents. 

 

Now that Christmas break is over....I finally have been able to work hard....feels great.  I like to devote breaks, holidays, and vacations to my family....but I usually get a fraction of work done. 

I am going to The spring Quilt market in Portland and am getting all excited about the plans.

I have learned so much since the last time I was there.  I like having goals and things to work towards...so this is a huge focus for me.

 

Try to stay warm.....it is freezing here in Eastern Washington.....much colder than Seattle.  In the summer we are much warmer too.  We don't get their rain either.  We get all four seasons.

Time for cocoa.

 

I will honor Christmas...

I absolutely love "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens.  I love to watch all the different versions of movies and the book is wonderful.  Here is a favorite line for me...at the end....when Scrooge has changed.

This one is fun....I know I get overwhelmed every Christmas, at some point.

I think just staying upbeat and having a good time is the answer to the stress.

 

We saw some Christmas commercials the past few days on TV...and my daughter uttered a comment just like Sally from Charlie Brown(peanuts)..."we haven't even ate all our Halloween Candy"...and then she said "whatever happened to Thanksgiving!".

 

Well before you know it will be Christmas!

This saying comes from a great movie...."Hairspray"....Christopher walken says it to Edna (John Travolta...who I sat close to in a play in Idaho!)  I love this saying.....it is terrifically inspiring!

Party O'Animal - freebie friday

Wouldn't this be cute printed out and made into a wearable pin for St. Paddys day?!!!  I will be wearing the green and hanging with my sisters and daughter....probably shopping til we drop.  Looks like the weather will be rainy all weekend here....boo hoo.  My hubby Dana will be watching MARCH Madness.  Go Zags!

Cat in the garden Freebie

Hi Everyone!  This is a design I did a long time ago....once featured in the magazine Country Marketplace (I loved this mag and wish it were still around!).  This was designed as a stitchery...done in all black floss and then painted in using acrylic paints that were watered done a bit.  I added chenille borders and made it into a pillow. Click on the photo to enlarge it.  I hope you stitch it up!

My kitty cat is much better....he was outside hunting today...thankfully he is not very good at it!! lol
