Panda cuteness

Hey ladies!
I went to the big craft show this weekend...got lots of goodies...and I wanted to share some with you.
I got this great panda bear with crown...in my friend Rchelle's booth.  It is all vintage like as if it has been well loved and stored in the attic.
My friend Sarah gave me this witch hat she made...to put on him during Halloween time!
Yay!!  I am lucky!
I also got some Halloween pokes for a dollar each.
So darned cute...black glitter on the hat is my kind of witch hat.
I know ...who buys Halloween in spring....ME!
I am addicted I guess.
I also got fudge, toffee, hand cream that smells like nag champa.
I wanted to get my daughter a cool tshirt skirt....but all the mediums left were dull colors and my daughter is vibrant.
I went to goodwill later....and scored a vintage blue phone for 9.99.
These are usually a small fortune at antique stores...and usually green.

Here is my daughter goofing around....I have two now.
The ringers are super LOUD.
She painted the yellow partly pink...we took it to Quilt market as a prop and everyone wanted to buy it.
She was determined to keep it.
Before I decorate for Easter...I have some strawberries out...I know it is not strawberry season but I love the look of them.
I have all kinds made of fabric....I just put them in my huge cylinder jar.
It is right next to my tart warmer from walmart....love that thing!
The best is yet to be...cute saying isn't it.
That is a pattern by Bareroots.
I met her at market....she is the sweetest lady!
And finally....Froy, my cat, is giving this message today!

Have a good one!

Easter Peep freebie

What the peep?
This is the freebie for Friday!
Have you bought any Easter candy yet?
I sadly have...lol.
I can't resist cadbury eggs, those Hershey chocolate eggs wrapped in foil and peanut M & M's in pastel colors.
I shared my watercolored design of this design above...the other day...but now being in black and white...it is easier to stitch up if you want to.
Copy and save.
*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make finished goods (no mass producing) and gifts...they are still legally my designs.
------------------------
Easter decor always makes me feel good...the seasons are changing and we are all ready for that!
The pretty soft colors, lil chicks and bunnies....flowers coming up and blooming...so exciting!
Above is "Cute Chick"...a fun and quick embroidery.  Notice the pink rick rack around the egg shaped pillow...fun huh!
I finally retook the photo for this pattern...Hippity Hoppity.
My skills at photography has grown quite a bit....thank goodness!
See the chick peeping around the corner in the lil quilt?
The bunnies have stitched button eyes.
This embroidery pattern, an oldie but goodie....has always been a favorite.
I call it the Easter Bouquet... I did a whole series...for every holiday.
Did you see that movie...it came out in January?
This wool pins are fun, use up scraps of wool or felt and people get a good laugh seeing those eyes!
I think they look Kawaii! (cute in Japanese!)
I have always had a fondness for raggedy Ann...my mom made me a raggedy Ann and Andy when I was a kid.
I played with them so much their arms fell off.  She would sew them back on many times.
They had an embroidered red heart on their chest...which said I love you!
This raggedy Ann has a basket in one hand and a bunny in the other.
3 chicks in a large egg...the egg is a sort of patchwork design.
I love the banner on this one.
More large eyes too.
These cuties are made from Amy Butler fabrics...sort of a modern retro design.
The pattern also comes with an egg shape to make some simple pins with Easter sayings.
Egg-stra cute....this mouse is pretending to be The Easter Bunny!
I added gold seed beads to the center of the flowers to add some cool texture.
I made this into a pincushion....you can hide sewing notions in the box.
It would be even cuter given to a special child with easter treats inside!
You know the old saying....April showers bring May flowers.
This one is GLITTERY!
I tell you my simple technique in the pattern.
Spring wool pins....featuring a couple cute bunnies!
Talk about using scraps up...these flowers and leaves use up the smallest scraps.
The sitting kitty pin was a very popular pin at craft shows...never could keep them in stock.
Prim eggs...all the letters are included in this pattern.
It's very easy to whip these up.  See how bits of cheesecloth are used behind the letters?!
I have a huge nest that I keep these in...a large display!
Meaning....bring me all the good stuff!
This pattern shows you how to make the 3 dimensional flowers on the pillow...so sweet!
Easter tags....They come on the collage sheet...looking as these do...
just cut out and add some string or ribbon....that is it....so easy.
These tags are also on a sheet....just download instantly...print....punch hole in the tags and add glittery string. The artwork for these came from old photos I collected...then I worked some magic on them.
That was such an exciting part of growing up....the egg hunt.
I got to go a little early since my brother and sisters were much older and they could collect eggs faster than a locomotive.
My favorite thing was always the chocolate bunny....which we all ate while watching
"The Ten Commandments" with Charleton Heston.
I love the soft pink tones in this digital sign.
Looks so cute in my dollar store frame that I painted white.
This embroidery quilted wall hanging has some tags that hang on 3 buttons....tag designs are included in the pattern.
This embroidery is a super quickie...stitches up fast.
Look at the lil chick at the bottom!
I got the honeycomb eggs years ago at a garage sale...I just love them.

What the peep?

Ok...I promise I am not getting vulgar!
Just having some fun...Easter is coming...lol.
I love the look of peeps and the marshmallow smells so good.  I just don't like biting into the sugar.
Well...I am not really going to talk about Easter....
I want to share with you some little bits of art I have been doing.
I have been playing around with lettering.
I need a lot of work, but practice always helps.
Here are some atc cards (they are white cardstock pieces of paper the size of a playing card)  I did...first the lettering on a card...just using a black sharpie.
Then I watercolored it...very simply I might add.
I was enjoying the painting alot.
Here is what is looked like before.
Just me goofing around.
There are globs of ink and letters that look goofy....but I was trying to let myself just play around.
Isn't this funny!
I love it!
I love this one....believe it sooo much!
If you can't be nice, then either I am leaving or the pest is!! lol
I watercolored it with some favorite colors....then I added a border using the free photo editor
I love pink also....my digital sign"Everything is better in pink" sells constantly on Etsy...I think there are alot of pink lovers out there!
I added pink watercolor...which I had to make mixing red and white together since I didn't have it in my watercolors.
I think you should try making some of these to.
Take a favorite saying....write it on a atc card using a black sharpie...then watercolor.
It doesn't matter if something didn't turn out...you an always throw it out if you hate it.

Play alittle today!!

Sassie Lassie...fun projects

I have some fun projects to show you...perfect for the beginning of March!
I love the chance to use the color Green...it is vibrant, so springy and always reminds me of grass growing and leaves coming on trees.
I made up some St. Patrick Day decor!
This is a 3 sided frame from Deflecto....
See the side shot?
Each panel side fits a 4" x 6" photo or piece of artwork.
I had a blast using scrapbook paper and some circle artwork I made that was originally for badges. I just glued the circles onto the pretty paper and slid it in.   I Tied up the frame with seam binding and filled in the center with flowers and shamrocks.
This is a collage of the pictures of all 3 sides.
Here is the "O'dorable" side...
It was so easy and fast...it was decorated before I knew it.
Irish...for a day!
This lady probably had a tough life...aww ...what women before us had to do so that we could have a better life.
Here I took a green frame....I put an old picture from the antique store (the hair cracks me up) in it and added a chenille stem shamrock and my flashcards with gold coins.
Hot glue is my bestie!
I have had these gold coins for years...just waiting to be used on a projects like this....
I love it when you have just the right embellishment tucked away for a future project.
Here is one of the smaller clear frames from Deflecto...I added washi tape that looks like a measuring tape. I then added a bow made from a real vintage measuring tape and the thimble on the bow is the thimble from a monopoly game.
I also added a tea-dyed muslin banner that says "Create". The photo is another antique store picture.
The washi tape is super easy to use...just stick it on!
Isn't this a sweet looking lady...I imagine her as a quilter.
----------------------
Hope you had a terrific weekend!
March is here!!
Spring is right around the corner.
We already have tulips up (no buds yet) and the daffodils have buds.

Life is good!
