Hokey... yet vintage St. Pattys day crafting

I love good old fashioned crafty stuff....
when people made things that were a different time and era.
Like who makes place cards anymore....sound fun, but whenever my family tried it...we all switched places anyway.

Nut baskets or containers usually hold about 9 nuts....lol.
No wonder everyone was smaller back then....you only got a few nuts and that was it!

Cute...but another craft that might take too much time!
I think I am getting lazier!

Ok...everyone like a crown...this is the one I would most likely make!
You could be QUEEN OF THE GREEN!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My sale pattern of the week is....
It's only $2.99...this week only!
SALE IS OVER :(

This is a sweet pattern, 2 chicks on easter day. Stitchery Design size is 6"x 6". It can be made into a pillow or frames up.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have my baby cat Froy...he is a stinker!
I recently drew him in adobe illustrator...and put one of my pattern designs on him!
This design matches his fur the best.
and this one is a wilder design ....which fits his personality.
I love him so much!
But I love all my three cats...they each have a different personality and good points!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On last Sunday I made a funny little bunny doll....with chenille stem legs, arms and ears.
The egg she is holding is needle felted wool.
Some times you need a break from the usual stuff your working on.

Don't forget to .....

I share things daily on my instagram....

St. Patty day & Easter Decor!

Well it is almost St. Patrick's day!
Last weekend I saw some pretty nutty people living it up downtown...all in the craziest get ups...lol.
All in the name of St. Patrick's...well I guess it is a reason to party.
For me It is a reason to decorate!
I added alittle green to two areas of my dining room.
I love my little leprechaun on a stick from my pal Sue!
I have a party hat and some hearts.
The hat was made from my party hat pattern.
This is my favorite display...so green!
My mom is in the background (in her glamour photo trench coat)... and I have a tart warmer with my stained glass shamrock.
Pom poms on a string are from target.
I have had this little pitcher forever...I can't ever part with it.
I did the rest of the house with Easter...I didn't put as much up as I usually do...I think it looks better this way.
I love my dorky bunnies.... and chenille chicks.
My favorite bunny ever...I bought it at a craft mall many years ago...probably back in the early 90's.
My piano display....I pick up flowers at thrift stores.
They really have some good ones...inexpensive too.
My daughter....with a cute troll bunny!
Easter felt chicks!...and one blue bunny.
I really enjoy putting up these seasonal goodies...but each time I pack it away...there is a little sadness.
I want it to last longer!!

I have had a hollow white chocolate bunny already...it was to die for!
Do you have a favorite Easter goody?
Leave a comment and share what you like best!

Let the Shenanigans begin!

I illustrated some new St. Patrick's Day tags...2 sheets of printables.
I love the green and purple combo!
There are 2 collage sheets- 15 different tags and one banner that says" Let the shenanigans begin!"
Other tags say: I'm a wee bit Irish, Lucky me...I have you, and Happy St. Patrick's day. Some tags says...Lucky girl! Just print, cut out and add strings, ribbon or yarn. Glittering them would also be adorbs!
The top left and bottom right are what the sheets look like when printed out.
These are cute for parties, glued on fabric hearts, hanging on knobs, tucked in your altered art projects, and much more!
The banner would be sweet on a small wreath or on a big felt shamrock.
I feel so lucky ... I bet you do too!
This is my mound of goodies ...to put in the tag holes.
My stash is never ending...I keep telling myself not to buy more...
but do I listen?
Nope!

Happy St. Patrick's day!

Hope you are wearing green and feeling light hearted today!
I have Irish blood from my mom's side...but we can all be Irish today....who cares right!
It is just the fun of it all.
Pretty old postcard...love the hat, pipe, shamrocks and gloves.
Not sure what that stick is about.

May you be blessed with warmth in your home,
love in your heart,
peace in your soul,
and joy in your life!

Lucky charms & more!

I got a lot of random things to talk about today....
Lucky charms....they are magically delicious!
I just created this artwork...."Ask me about my lucky charms!" a pdf instant download.  This is so funny....great amongst your St. Patrick's day decor! I created the background art ...one of my repeating surface designs.
I wanted to share what I won recently....a lovely set of potholders from Spittin Toad.  Please check out her blog and etsy shop.  The fabrics she used are just beautiful.  A Big thank you to Denise!
She re-painted a dresser and it is sooo darned cute....it is on her blog.
I just put a few finished items in my etsy shops...I can't keep everything!
I Hand painted her face...on the prettiest floral fabric. She has a small flower by her face. On the front side is a tag that says "laugh"....with pink seam binding bow and a small gold safety pin. She has some great white trim around her as well. She is weighted so she stand well.
Lil shelf tucks...with inspiring words.
These are small and sweet.
Another set of four...with different words or sayings.
My "Hope" mixed media painting in my art etsy shop.
I made this small artwork to inspire and give hope. It is a painting on wood. I took papers and paint and collaged them all together. There is a crown and hearts....swirls and bright colors of all shades of pink. The sides are painted black. It measures : 3" x 4".
Swoon...another small mixed media painting on canvas,
I love the sentiment that comes from this one small word!
Hippity Hoppity.....
This is a prim Easter wicker hanger....I made this a few years ago. I used one of my wonderful old photos...of a pretty lady...gave her glittery bunny ears. She is inside a wicker heart shaped basket that has a prim rusty wire hanger. There is lot of moss and small flowers in the moss. It also has a small cheesecloth tie on the hanger. This measures:5 1/2" wide, 7 1/4" including wire hanger.
Lastly ...here is Froy ....Born to be wild!
Cat's always look funny when their nose gets close to the camera!
I thought he might give you a laugh.

I need a laugh today...sometimes life just throws a few punches and you have to deal with it.
I pulled out my gratitude journal.....and re read all I listed in the past that I am grateful for....already made me feel better!!

They are easy enough for kids to make too.

Banners sayings include: Kiss me...I'm Irish, Queen O' The Green, Lepre-cutie,Luck of the Irish, Proud to be Irish, Happy go lucky, Party O' Animal, and Sassie Lassie.

These could also be used as gift tags.
I painted the artwork myself...you get the collage sheet with all eight designs plus all 8 banners.
She is a real sweetie!
I loved glittering them up.
These are so simple and super duper quick!
