Cats cats ...cats!!!

It is no secret that I LOVE cats!
Here is a little collage of my babies...The first column is Froy (7).
The middle is Lucky (9) and the last column is Trix (9).
The middle row shows them being alittle younger.
And the last row shows crazy big faces.
Here is baby Froy....he still uses that root as a scratching post.
This pic shows Goldie (who has 6 toes on each paw), Lucky is the middle kitten and the bottom kitten is Trix.  We had too many cats then, so we gave goldie to the store.  People seem to like cats with extra toes.  All are fixed and 3 is my limit.  (mainly because they get mad at each other)
I love creating designs with cats too!
I can't help drawing more cats...but I am not very good at drawing dogs....I gotta try harder.
This pattern above is a BIG pattern...all 12 designs are in one.
Each design represents a month of the year.
There is a snowman, hearts, shamrocks, bunny, catnip, flowers, flags, watermelon, schoolhouse, witch, turkey, and santa with presents. Each Finished stitchery square measures: 3 5/8" x 5 3/4"
Quilt measures: 19 3/4" x 33 1/4".
These are fun, quick, and use all your lil tiny scraps of wool or wool felt. They make great gifts, great for craft shows, and also can be made into magnets.

Isn't this the Cat's meow?  Celebrate Valentine's day with this sweet kitty cat doll... made from chenille stems, felt and wool. This project is easy, quick, and makes a great gift. It is also purrfect for your holiday decor!

There is a rainbow of good fortune for this kitty cat. The luck of the Irish is a quick to make project, easy, and makes a cheerful addition to your home. Gold seed beads add a special glistening touch!

This sweet Kitty cat is giving a small but lovely gift of love in a flower. What a fast, easy, and fun design to make for a gift or for yourself. This is the easiest of Dresden plate appliqués...all the details are included in this pattern. No turning appliques under or hard applications....raw edges showing is part of the charm of this pattern...so easy too.

This little kitty is giving Sweets to the sweet. There is a heart pouch to fill with goodies for your Valentine. What a fast, easy, and fun design to make. How fun would this be to receive on Valentine's Day?

This cute kitten is sitting inside an umbrella....saying sweetly....April showers bring may flowers. What a fast, easy, and fun project to make for spring. The design can be made into this adorable patchwork pillow ...all the details are included in this pattern.

Make into a wallhanging, old window frame, pillows, or lil mini-quilts. IT CAN FIT INTO ANY WINDOW FRAME BECAUSE THE BORDER FABRIC CAN BE MADE SMALLER OR LARGER. Each Finished piece measures: 4 3/4" x 5 3/4" -muslin area.

This pincushion fits onto a spool of thread...very handy, Super fast to make, & makes great gifts! These are great sellers at craft shows. Uses simple supplies and scraps. Design measures: 5" x 2 3/4" including tee.

Create a special gift for your BFF. The "All you need is love" pincushion scissor fob keeps your pins, needles, and scissors handy. The pins and needles can't poke through and hurt your table or you. This is the sweetest accessory to your end table or sewing room. This is a fast, easy, and fun project. Finished design measures: 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" not including ribbon.

This is one of my very favorites!
This little kitty cat has gathered happy memories ... sweet flowers in her paws. The inspiring design can be made into a pillow or a table mat. This design is quick, easy, and fun to stitch up! Pillow measures:7" x 7".
Lucky says..."Have a wonderful rest of the day"!!!!

On the cover of a Magazine

I am thrilled to be in yet another Quiltmania publication.
This time it is the Special children's magazine.....for kids decor....not for them to make.
My quilt is on the cover....the yellow quilt!

It's called "She lingers in the garden".  It is a bright and cheerful quilt....but any fabric choice would be nice.

There are lots of diagrams and full instructions with patterns.

I love how they show the contents....by image only....lol
There are lots of great projects...28 in all.
I'm sure this will be in Barnes and Noble soon.

It's funny...but after all this time....I still feel weird yet excited to see my name in print.
I have always loved my last name....my hubby has a good name.
My maiden name of Cowan was alright...just some confusion on how to say it.  My father's side comes right from Scotland.  My mom occasionally said she would have him deported if she got mad enough....sooo crazy!
There is no doubt how to say the name Hudson.

Gotta show you a sneak peak of what is soon to be a pattern...Sweet kitty cat ...can't wait.

I am also working on all kinds of Halloween designs....I am super excited about them.
They are turning out soooo cool!

I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.

My Quilt show booth

Wow, the show is over...I am so tired!
Here are pics of my booth....I had a nice corner spot and setting up was so time consuming.
I had my patterns and lots of other goodies.

I couldn't put all my samples in this spot, but most of them.

I used every inch...lol.

Some of my older patterns were popular again.

It was fun talking to everyone and showing my designs.

My candy canes were a favorite.

I had samples and patterns everywhere....it was like setting up a store.

All the holidays were represented.

I love my Halloween the best though.

Lots of people wanted to buy the samples, but I need them too much.

Raggedy Ann, I still love her.

I used my big cubby hole display, now it is back in my studio.

I used my old quilt as a table cover.

There were lovely quilts all around.
I had a great time and am also glad I can rest now....he he he.
Thanks to all of you who stopped by...I loved meeting you!

Bird & flower design

Wow...Friday already?  I am not ready for Friday.  Everytime I turn around...it is Friday.  I love this bird and flower design from an old magazine I have.  I have lots of Magazines....I am a hoarder when it comes to cool magazines. I also love this old scissors ad.  Look at the daughters grown up face on a small body...he he.
My poor husband has more kidney stones...he is home and trying to rest.  My daughter is feeling sick too.... so I am nurse today!
Have a good labor day weekend!
