Happy December to you!

It's that beautiful time of year....Christmas is coming and Hanukkah too.  All the lovely holidays.
We just got a ton of snow here in Eastern Washington.  It's like a winter wonderland.  We got a snow blower just in time.
Things are feeling much more calm for me....so thankful for that.
I love peace and tranquility.

The above calendar is great for your Ipad, tablet or phone.  Click here for the download.

This is the desktop version.... it comes from my own retro style artwork.
I tried  some unusual colors.

--------------------------------------------------------------
I made a new christmas collage sheet called Christmas is...
I hand drew all these on procreate....some of my process videos are on my instagram.

You can print them off and use them over and over. Print these on photo paper, sticker paper or matte presentation paper for best results.

This is a sheet with super cute characters: a Santa girl with her cat, Frosty the snowman, candy cane tree, retro angel, stocking, happy tree, candles, gingerbread man, baby its cold outside snowman, lil ornament, fun sayings and words.

I made them into fun ornaments

Sweet Santa girl and her kitty

my favorite ... the snowman with candy cane tree...

Retro Angel...

Happy tree..

I have made a fun free video on how to make them into ornaments....the example is an easter collage sheet of mine , but the tips are the same

Supplies you may need are: scraps of cardboard (from a box), glue stick, scissors, glue that dries clear, trims and glitter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can print these however many times you like and use them for years.
I drew all kinds of shapes and sizes.

I printed mine on sticker paper and cut them out.

Then I started wrapping and used the gift tags ....peeled off the sticker back and all done.

They are fine on regular card stock too. I keep my gift tags in a little box on the table when wrapping.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are some other pieces I have been working on...
Snow miser and heat miser from "The year without a Santa Claus".
I love that show when I was a little kid.
They cracked me up!
I loved how they would fight until mother nature stepped in...lol.

This is part of my candles and my snowman.... I took classes on procreate on skillshare and have really learned alot.  I have never had an Ipad before.  I have had a lot of adobe illustrator though.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just made another rug...a snowman and tree.
I have the rug tufting gun to do it...look on Amazon for the supplies or Youtube to see people's videos.

You put your fabric on a frame and draw the design...and get your yarn out and rewind it into a cake ball.

Here is mine next to selina's one.... she made her cat Midnight. See the yarn balls?

After completing the design you have to glue it.

I add a nonskid backing and shave it.
Crazy huh?
It's so much fun.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then I made...
I hand painted some ornaments....
they are in my etsy shop now.  If they sell out I will make more.

Rudolph...

These are plastic so they won't break.
---------------------------------------------------------
Lil Davy is wishing you a wonderful holiday season...

Trix says to be careful when driving in the snow.

I'm wishing you JOY!

Christmas calories do not count freebie

This is true...right!
I am hoping so anyway.
I have been eating so many yummies...that it will be a very good thing to get back to better eating soon after christmas.
Those chocolate kisses, candy canes and fudge really get me!
I can't resist cheese and cracker platters either.
This would make a fun stitchery framed for the kitchen.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I having been making surface pattern designs...like this crow and flowers one...so much fun to do.  I tried adding more texture to the design....so it won't look so flat.
I realy enjoy working on it...it is really like playing.
I hope to get a few collections done before Spring quilt market.
I have been whipping up a gingerbread ornament for a gift exchange...using my old pin pattern.
I am using the gingerbread and adding some hollys.
So far, so good.
I need to finish this up soon!
Trix says she approves of the roses I got for our 21st wedding anniversary!
Here is my wonderful hubby....at the cabin being a silly boy!
I love him so very much...we had a wonderful anniversary.
I finally took some new photos of my christmas ornaments...and fixed the covers of my patterns...so much better.
over the years I have learned alot...including better photography!

Seems like there is so much to do this time of year!
Gotta get more things done.
Have  a wonderful weekend!

Easter banner & life.....

Yep....I found that out again this week!
When everything seems like it's getting more calm....then
Wack!!!
It's more stress....
I guess that's life!
I have been spoiled by things being stress free for a long while...so I guess it's time for some.
My dad is still in the hospital, but atleast he is doing better.
Are you feeling stressed or calm?
Maybe something in between?
Anyway...have fun with this little freebie...it could be stitched up or just printed out!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This SET OF 12 small banner flags will get you ready for Easter...WE ARE SO READY for this spirit lifting holiday!!!!!  You can make it as long as you like...just print out another page or two.
The download is only $3.99.
This is how the collage sheet looks.
I painted the bunnies and chick...converted them to the flag shapes and also made extra designs and motifs as an illustration ...so that all the colors go together perfectly.
All you do is print, cut out...(add glitter if you want) and glue them onto a string or baker's twine.
The banner can be any length. Each sheet has 12 flags....you could print as many as you need....to make any length. Each little flag measures: 3 3/4" x 1 9/16".
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Isn't this just the sweetest pillow!!!
I wanted to share with you the awesome punchneedle pillow my friend Sarah made for me!!! She took my drawing...turned it into a design she could punchneedle...did all the work and then gave it to me!!! soooo sweet!!! She moved to Arizona...and we all miss her tons!!! She has wit and charm...thats unbeatable!
The texture is great....fills fab!
I have it already up...even though I need to take down St. Patricks day tomorrow.
If I sits....I fits!
Trix truly believes this.
The best way to get your cat (like to give them medicine)....is to put out the trap...
a cardboard box...they are drawn to it like a magnet.
Works everytime.

Lucky.... freebie!

I love faux cross stitch...you just trace it onto muslin just like any embroidery design...and stitch the x's.  This way there is no counting the linen or aida ...and it is more prim.
This would be darling stitched up....or colored as a postcard.
*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make finished goods (no mass producing) and gifts...they are still my designs.
--------------------------------------------

I am currently finishing some Easter designs...alot like the Valentine ornaments I just made into a pattern below.
I love this bunny the most.
I am going to a pin swap soon.... and I whipped up this hearts on heart wool pin.
Most of the little tiny scraps are whip-stitched on and a few embroidery stitches are added.
I used to make tons of these to sell on ebay....back in the day.
I really got tired of making them...but now since I haven't done one in a while...it was fun again.
I always love to create new artwork each year for each holiday...
Sometimes they are simple ...like this lucky plant poke.
I made this while watching a old episode of "The Munsters".... that show is older than me!

I have also been making some stationary....with hexies!
I made a happy go lucky and best day ever.
This is a better closer look at it.
I might need to keep going with these and create one for every holiday.

I had to add my daughter....we all went thrift shopping last weekend and she picked up a fake fur.
She looked just like Macklemore.... so we had to sing the thrift shop song!

Lastly...my two cats turned 10 the other day!
I can't believe they are that old...but I saw them being born in our dining room so I know exactly the date!
It was gross....but they sure are super special.

Have a fabulous weekend!
