Sneaky peak & what I've been up to.

Happy Wednesday to you!
I am always happy for Wednesday (survivor is on!...still addicted to it!)
I wanted to show you a sneaky peaky of my next pattern.....
It is a Needle punch!
I love Americana....and adding to my collection of Americana decor is fun.
This will be out soon.
I have recently started Instagram.
It is all new to me....but I LOVE it!
You can follow anything and everybody.

It is amazing to be inspired by all the artists out there....
see pics of your favorite stars...
follow you family...
see what is the coolest in vintage finds....
see new fabric from designers....
it goes on and on...
Anything you are interested....there will be an Instagram for!
Above I showed how one day I had a great time with art supplies, magazines and a screwdriver....lol,
I drew on little ATC cards...just goofing around.

I went to a plant sale this past weekend... the vintage coffee can with flowers was 3 dollars...the rusty flour sifter with plants was 2 dollars....cant believe it. They look sweet on my outdoor table.

Lilacs are blooming.....so early! Love how fragrant....great colors....life is good.

I just picked this tulip and put in a vase of water...she opened up big time...so happy!

I went through some of my piles of drawings...maybe I will use some for my surface pattern designs.
I noticed some I used to make patterns of
like the bee...
and I used the chick for this Easter pillow...
Never throw your drawings and art away...
You never know what will inspire you or what you can use later.

So...that is some of the things I have been up to.
Hope you get some time for you today!

Grow through life freebie

My daughter has taken one tiny spider plant and made tons of offspring!
We have given them as gifts, planted them inside and out....they are taken over!
So I had to draw one and put this old but sweet saying with it!
Save and print.
This would be so cute stitched and framed up for a friend.

EXCITING!!!!!
The Somerset Holidays and celebrations magazine is coming out Sept 1st!
One of my projects is on the cover (Where the tree top glistens ornaments)...and I have two more projects in the magazine as well (Halloween!).

Stampington has over 40 different publications!
I have been in several of them...such nice people!
This magazine is always at Barnes and Noble if you want to check it out.
This particular magazine is perfect if you love holidays....like me.
It covers them all and such wonderful projects and ideas.
The project patterns are not included in the magazine....but I share techniques, material lists....and stories.

Come to the Thrifty thursday, The pin me linky party, and the Party Bunch!

Have your cake....and eat it too

Yummy cake.....birthday cake!
I still think it is nicer and cheaper to make a cake rather than buy one at the grocery store.
The only time I buy a cake is when a lot of people are coming....and I need a big one.
I made a cake last weekend and everyone ate it up!
---------------------------------------------------------

I just wanted to share a few things with you.
This is a new sign in my etsy shop....I love you dad.  Just need to be able to say how you feel?
Makes the perfect gift for Father's day or when baby is born and there is a new daddy in the family.
Looks great hung up in the man cave.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is kinda hard to see...but this is my little herb garden just outside my studio door.
It was a worn out end table...it was outside getting weathered...the top fell out. My daughter painted it last year and now we stapled some chicken wire and moss in the bottom.
I added dirt and planted my little herbs...so cute!
It is right next to my blue chair.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is one of the best antique shows in the country...I was in it for several years.....crazy good sales!
People would be in line to get into your booth...they had to get there first.
It was such a good experience...so glad I did it!
I can't do everything though, so I decided to concentrate on patterns and artwork.
Above are some of the posters when I was in the show....I have it hung in my studio!
It took me months to make cool items and then sell almost everything in a weekend.
I love being a shopper however (I can always carve out time to shop!)
There is only one bad thing about the show.....
it is soooooo crowded....that I get alittle nutty.
I will have to practice my slipping around people skills!

Come to the Pin me linky party and The Party bunch
