Whimsical pendants

I love to solder pendants....I have made hundreds...I've made them to sell and for gifts.  I made so many I got burned out doing it for a long while. I love how it is a tiny piece of art...wrapped up tight between glass and silvergleem.

This is one of the reason I collect old photos...to use in art.  Each one I have made is different.

Girl power!

This gal looks like she is naughty....her husband is not going to control her.

I also collect saying and made an ebook of them so they are handy.  I always refer to it and add more to the pages as I go.

She is sweet

So she is queen of the garden.

We have all been naughty from time to time!

I am going to put on more soon....but I won't be making any brand new ones because designing and business has me busy all the time.  Once they are sold....they will be gone forever.  I keep my  pictures though....fun to browse through sometimes.

 

Fun Mom tag

Here is a tag I made ....I always put it out during mother's day.  She has passed many years ago now.....but the love I still feel for her is sooooo strong!  She was a beautiful woman and I really don't know how she did it all.

To make a tag for your mom or to remember your mom....get you pics out and find a good one.  You can age a tag by rubbing brown ink on a toothbrush and rubbing the toothbrush over the tag....on edges.

This pic was a black and white...which I added a lil pink blush to the cheeks to make her light up.  I cut out around her and cut off the skirt area...so I can add a fabric skirt.

I glued the photo onto the tag and hot glued a little scrap of fabric for a skirt.  I added the ribbon belt to finish it better.  I added floral clipart and then stamped the word "Mom" on it.  Now....whenever I see my lil tag....I think of her at her prime....a woman who was going to conquer the world...and she could have!

Just had to show ya.....here she is on a pendant I made....wearing a party hat!  She was the life of the party....she didn't drink...but she was fun and people wanted to listen to her and be with her.

Her name was Betty Lou!

I was her baby and we were super close.  Now I have a daughter and she is my baby (one and only) and we are super close.

If you still have your mom.....give her a big old hug and say thanks....you won't regret it!

Life is not like the brochure

I love this saying!!!  I love collecting sayings too.  I really get alot from them....when they inspire, are funny, make me think, make me feel sentimental, give me happy thoughts, and when it evokes warmth for a holiday.

I use them for all kinds of crafting!

I used to solder all the time...I was addicted!  I loved creating little pieces of art and putting a saying on each one. 

I got a rush completing each one....with the silver shining and the art tucked safely behind glass.

I love using old photos for pendants...I collect old photos...and have willed myself to be really choosy now.

Above is my mom....she was a free spirit.....someone who got the fuzzy end of the lollipop...but she always made the best of things.

I love the holidays....it is something my mom passed down to me...always look forward to something!

Gotta love cats!  Atleast I do....he he he. 

Moms do have special powers....my daughter totally believes it.

All my pendants have sold except a couple....I kept a few for myself.  I made over 1000....so I did burn out.

I might have to make a few more for old times sake!

Pendants

You may not know this about me.  I love to solder pendants!  I love giving new live to old bits of paper.

I have sold a hundred Lizzy Borden pendants....mainly to people in Fall River Mass.....where she lived.  I like the back to say funny things like "Wack job" or "she would get even"....lol. 

This is my cat Fiona....who disappeared one day....she was a sweet kitty. 

I also love retro dots...and circle pendants!

I also love doing bracelets....especially if it is patriotic!  I love making these....small pieces of art...it is so wonderful to know your pendant is being worn and loved....and could last generations.
