Japanese dollar store goodies

I recently went to Seattle for a vacation and knew I was going to find the Japanese dollar store there.
The Daiso japan store is located at the Westlake mall where the monorail is.
It was so much fun...full of unusual items....but I loved all the crafty goodness!
Variegated embroidery floss...1.50 for the pack. I love how it is so cutely packaged.
Almost everything in the store is $1.50
Threads....of all colors!
Page markers...I got some cute ones...my daughter chose teddy bears.
Fun wrapping paper.
A thick drawing tablet...perfect to sketch ideas!
Washi tape!
Lots of fun papers....and I could have spent alot longer there....but my families patience was wearing thin....lol.

I found this cool purse on Bainbridge island.
I love what it says too... Love who you are.
Isn't the artwork lovely!!
So darned cool!
I may put some art supplies in it...for when I go to my sister's house to draw and watercolor.

Later this week I will show you my fabric finds....I am so happy with them!

Duck tape QUEEN - Selina

My daughter Selina has to be the DUCK TAPE QUEEN
She has always loved duck tape...from taping up her whole desk to binders and shoes!
Now she is making lots more items....she just starts experimenting....and before I know it...she has made a BACKPACK.

She is a very colorful person...as you can see.

She made flowers for her headphones!

Rings and bracelets

This backpack is nothing but duck tape and paper (inside).....she even ducktaped zippers inside.

People at school love it!

It is sturdy and strong....she has been using it for a while now.

This is her ring...made in school colors.

They are so bright and fun!

These are pens.....love them!

She whips these up while computing.

Here is her latest bag....complete with 3d flower

It is a lily like flower

She is very very creative and I am the proud mama!
Her etsy shop.....Peacock Gumdrop...

Oldies but goodies

Good day to you all, here in eastern Washington...it is rainy and looking like fall.
I just wanted to show you some of my oldies but goodies...older patterns that are still spooky and fun!

This stitchery purse is adorable...cheesecloth fringe!

I love needle-felting on pumpkins of wool felt.  They feel so good.

I love a nice set of them.

My crows are big and make a great large display.

Here are some small needlepunch crows.

This is always a huge hit at shows....just what a witch would would if she got a stocking of goodies.

This is also popular and very vintage like.  He is one of my first designs I ever made.

This cat has banners you can change to suit the seasons.

Halloween ornaments...my paper collage sheets.

This funny guy is from my big Halloween orangework quilt....where there are several stitcheries....all in orange!
Everyone of these patterns are available on my website or my etsy site.....thanks for taking a peek down my memory lane.

Get ready for Halloween!

It is never too early to work on Halloween projects!  Before you know it....fall will be upon us.
This pattern above is on sale for $3.99 until Monday July 11th on my patternmart
There is nothing like working with wool or felt.   It is so forgiving and you don't have to be perfect, because it will look great anyway.  All of my patterns can be made up into the finished products and sold on etsy, ebay, and craft shows!   I love seeing my designs made up on the internet and at shows.  I am always amazed when I am just shopping at a local craft show and someone has made up my mannequin or stitchery or other designs.
I have been sooooo busy lately, seems like days are just flying by.  I hope you all are having an amazing summer so far!
