Loving family....freebie

This little design is dedicated to our love of family.
Sometimes they can be a pain or just make you mad...but we need family and when it comes down to it.... family is really really important.  I can't imagine a holiday dinner without family.
Or a graduation without family.
This would be cool stitched up on a baby blanket corner.
*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make a couple finished goods (no mass producing) and a couple gifts...they are still legally my designs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been working on design in adobe illustrator.
This is a cute character I drew up with just black lines....and then added color to it.
This is a screen shot of things in mid process.
I was playing around with how I wanted to the design to look.
I wanted to flip the girl around so no matter how the pattern is places...atleast some of it will be right side up.
Then I added all the color and made it into a repeating pattern design.
I would love to see this made into fabric.
** Side note:These are not freebies...these are just examples of my work.
The freebie is the top "Family" design in black and white.
I just have to point that out to make it very clear.
Here is the same character in another color combo.
I like the black hair on her!
l
And here is a Halloween color combo.
Good old orange and black ...with purple!
When working in illustrator...you can make some cool designs into clip art...
like this summer time clip art set I made which is in my etsy shop.
They can be made so that the clip art can be placed on existing pictures...like my cat Trix picture below.
The clip art has a transparent background.
I think it is so funny she is holding an ice cream cone!!
She really loves those cat treats called temptations.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Feeling spooky?

I have been drawing alot lately...outside when it is cool enough.
I jut enjoy playing some light classical music and drawing whatever come to my mind.
I love drawing sweet witches.
I thought it would be funny to draw a large pumpkin behind this witch.
This one is cooking up a few things....the cat is hiding behind her skirt in case she gets any ideas.
Dig her boots...lol.
Halloween pattern sales have really gone crazy lately...I guess everyone is getting in the mood for fall.
My witch hat is popular....it is large and makes a great statement piece.
The mouse on a leaf...so cute...just put a dollar store fake tea light/candle in the pumpkin.

This is my new clip art.  Hello Autumn.  I love this set...background are transparent.
Witchy sign...I have been flipping my witch switch a few times lately....I just need a little time to work in peace!
Witch tags...made from my own artwork...it is a digital download....print as many as you like.
Agatha Willow...a witch who lives deep in the forest.
This pattern has a secret....you don't have to make her body....more details in her description on etsy.
I put this one on my fake crow.  These are sooo inexpensive to make...just paper.
I have to tell you....people ask me to make these (party badges) all the time...I just don't have any extra time to make them...if you one buy this pattern...let me know if you want to sell them made up and when ever anyone asks me about them ...I can't refer them to you!  Just email me: Shirleyhud@aol.com
Grinning pumpkin...his stand is just a candlestick holder...which are in the thrift stores by the hundreds.  The hat is the coolest party hat!
My ghost...very popular.  Cheesecloth and muslin are the secret ingredients!

Skulls and bats...I love this one...it makes me happy just looking at this!
Witch ornies...the witch faces come with the pattern...this is super easy and fun...dresses are just a scrap of fabric.
**************************************
I do have some new designs coming up soon....time is flying by...summer really cuts into my creative time.

Bunny clip art...& more

Hey everyone!
Hope you had a wonderful St. Patrick's day...
It is a strange holiday in America when you think about it.
But I will take all the holidays....gladly!
I have been making some clip art...in adobe Illustrator.
I made "Spring has Sprung"... all the 13 png files are shown above....
each design is in a separate file of their own file. The backgrounds are transparent.
These are high quality files.
There is a bunny in frame, gray banner, green banner, words"Spring has sprung", Chick breaking out of an egg, "Easter", Flowers, mint flower, green egg, yellow egg, pink egg, leafy frame, and pink and white tag.

Just to show you what you can do....
Here I put the several of the files together on a painted chippy background photo my daughter took.
I use this free photo editor when layering.
In this one ...I took a scan of an old ledger paper and laid a couple of my images on it.
I gave it a scrappy white border....using the photo editor.

This set of clip art is called "Lovey Dovey".
It has 8 different png clip art.

There are a bunny mama and her kid, a coffee cup, hanger with hearts, heart with flowers, a squiggly frame, retro TV with remote, single flower, and a cute cat throwing hearts in the air.
Here I laid the bunnies on a scan of scrapbooking paper...this would make a cute card.
This one...I painted a simple heart on old music paper...then laid the cat image on top.
Using the photo editor...I added a scruffy black border.
This is a digital print I made (using my clip art and my daughter's photography)....available in my etsy shop.
I thought it was so cute....it needed to be a sign print.
My needle felted eggs make a great photo prop.
I watercolored.....and then added digital elements to make these two signs...
Red, pink and blue for this one.  They came about by playing and learning skills.
This would make a fun anniversary gift.

Whoa...the sun just came out...looks lovely....
Have a great rest of your day!
