Vintage Halloween decorations and new

A few of us gals went to a really fun vintage Halloween sale at the Two Women shop!
They really put on a great spread!
Lots of very delicous goodies...hot cider and the best decorations ever.
I got this paper lantern...I was really looking for things I don't have...and I happily got some!
I have always wanted this cat on the honeycomb...I have seen it in books but never came across it.

I also got this super cool black cat...love the scared face.
This is new...but looks so vintage...a great poster..only 3.50.
The first 20 people got swag bags...my daughter and I shared it.
It had cards, soap, a fox box, cat pendant, lip balm and more!!
I felt lucky to get to have gotten one!
The window displays were great!
They have a real knack for it.
Sorry for the glare...but everything was so spooky!
Candy corn in a giant glass container.
I was really liking the crow on the skull....but I have something like it already.
Look at the cool owl container.
lovely colors...
Copper pumpkins...
Cool trays!
This kitty cat is reaching out...sweet

Everywhere you looked there was cool things...I went through it several times seeing new things each time.
Glitter...you can't go wrong with glitter.
The tray looked vintage but things were clearly labeled...which is nice.
Next time it will be their Christmas open house....yay!
Pumpkins....at Albertson's!!!
They really displayed well too!
This is a Knucklehead pumpkin...I love it!

I hope you enjoyed all the Halloween !

Halloween banners!

I designed some new Halloween banners...
This SET OF 12 small banner flags WILL GET YOU READY FOR Halloween and fall...WE ARE SO READY!!!!!
I painted the pumpkin stack and skeleton...converted them to the flag shapes and also made extra pumpkins and motifs as an illustration ...so that all the colors go together perfectly.

When I painted the stacking pumpkins it was spring...it was odd thinking about Halloween so early.

This is what the collage sheet looks like...just print and cut out...
glue them onto a string or baker's twine.
The banner can be any length. Each sheet has 12 flags....you could print as many as you need.
 Each little flag measures: 3 3/4" x 1 9/16".

On this one....there are 6 different witches...made from cabinet cards...
I picked some lovely ladies and decked them out in hats and accessories.
I also created some coordinating polka dots and gray flowers in the flag banners.
Here is the collage sheet...what I really like about these...are that they really get alot of attention and are so easy to whip up.
On labor day weekend...my hubby, daughter and I put up a cool privacy fence!
Now my studio is private and I can sit out with coffee...take breaks and enjoy the outdoors on this side of my property.

My main job was chain sawing trees and ripping out bushes....it was a forest!

Now I can finally enjoy this part of my yard to its fullest!

It makes me want to do all kinds of other projects!
I just need to concentrate on business though...lol.

Life is a song....freebie

Life is a song - now sing it....
sweet and simple!
I often think about a bird's life...we have a feeder and bird bath and they are so cute.
I wonder what they do when it is a big storm...windy and rainy.
They certainly are amazing creatures.
Have fun with this freebie design.

I have a BRAND NEW PATTERN!
It is : Too cute to spook!  #373  an embroidery design in my etsy shop.
My website offers printed and mailed patterns if instant print PDF digitals are not for you.

This sweet girl is wearing a black cat hat and peaking over a friendly
Jack o'lantern.... she is too cute to spook!
Finish it floating in a simple black frame & bakers twine (all the details on how to do this are in the pattern instructions) ... or in a pillow or mini quilt.
This is a fast and easy project!
I love trying new ways to finish an embroidery design.
Embroidery designs measure: 4" x 5 11/16"
Finished oval in black frame (8" x 10"): 5 1/2" x 7 1/8"
I am looking forward to fall decorating....I can't help it!
I am just drawn to it.
I still have my patriotic decor up though...I figure it can stay all summer.

Halloween decorating...come to the tour!

I want to show you my halloween decor!!
Come with me on a tour!
I have some lanterns, a light up ghost and my pumpkin mat.
Here is a wider shot.
I have halloween all over the place.
My creepy witch...I really love the diecuts.
The art was amazing back in the day!
This witch looks like a dude!
This is one of my favorites and is very large.
When I put a collection together and it works...it feels like heaven.
Needle felted pumpkin...looking sassy!
My brother bought me these witch legs years ago....he didn't even remember when he saw it the other day....men!
I like turning any thrift store book into a chilling library addition....
I just paint the covers!
Sometimes I just randomly put up the treasures.
This canvas painting lights up.
A mix of old and new....plus doll heads are creepy!
My owl with pearls.
This lil quilt was made so long ago...back when I crafted for myself.
This sweet panda was made by a pal, Rchelle....and another pal, sarah, made the hat.

My recent dolls I made just for me.
my peanuts collection...can't wait to see the movie coming out.
They bring back those old childhood memories...watching this show each year was so important.
I love collecting skulls.
More diecuts....this time...an owl
My pumpkin at the top of this shelf always brings a smile.
When growing up...one decoration we had was a large paper skeleton.
How do you like the painting in the background...pretty cool..huh!
Hallmark candy containers and Danita paintings of the bride and Frankenstein.
My mantle is always fun the put together.
All this is an investment...right?!
bad shot....but you get the idea.
I love mixing a cross stitch witch with a light up pumpkin man and other goodies.
So witchy!
Look at Dracula's eyes!
This section is quite creepy!
Crows!
and stuff I put in a big glass container.
I didn't put it all up this year....I really need to pare down.
See the girl in kitty suit painting?  It is an original from Tascha.

My piano top....very spooky.
This is the first lil quilt I hand quilted....with tight stipling stitches.
I was then hooked as a sewer and maker.
Frankenstein hanging out at the piano.
Doll head ...2 bucks....creepy levels...very high!
My paper mache deer....I painted white and then decorated him....I can't wait to decorate him for each holiday!
My Americana kitchen with a splash of spooky.
My old lunch pail with an old crow...ready to get any visitor.
I hope you enjoyed the tour...my back yard has cool lights...perfect for when we are in the hottub...
I feel very lucky and blessed.
Hope the rest of your week is very spooky!
