Halloween fun and collecting

I love this time of year!

All the Halloween is coming out of the wood work!

Above is a hexie display of a few of my designs.

I bought this fabulous drawing on muslin from Michelle Palmer...she is fantastic!

She usually sells them on muslin...in a plain rectangle...so you can do what you want with it.

Sometimes she takes a vintage linen table mat or doily and draws on it....so cool.

I decided to make a mini quilt with the artwork.

Here it is all finished....I am going to put it in my kitchen....I love making something for myself for a change.

I got a few vintage collectibles at my favorite antique store....

this accordion style cat...love him!

There was a booth that had quite a bit..but I already had some of the items...I love collecting.

She is part of a vintage costume...this is sort of a skirt/apron....I might put it on my mannequin...and if if doesn't fit I may pin it on the mannequin.

This costume was fierce!

It came with this cape too!

Now for Target dollar deals...this is a fun pompom garland for 3 bucks.

I love pompoms. 

The cool mini or small ornaments are also from target.  I wanted the eyeballs the most.

This was a whole dollar....at dollar tree!

This is like the skeletons that unfold and you can hang them...she looks just like Mrs. Munster! 

Treat boxes at the dollar store....so cute! 

I got this crazy glitter mouse at value village.

Pom poms & tassels!

I am a gal who loves embellishments...like pom poms and tassels.

I thought you would like these little easy instructions...especially for this Christmas.

I sometimes add these to decor or gift wrapping.

On the pom pom....the hole in the center of cardboard should be larger, in my opinion.

Tassels made with DMC floss are so cool too. 

WARNING....cats love tassels and pom poms....and they love to ruin them too...hahaha.

This is a brand new sign I made....available in my etsy shop!

I have been learning Adobe Illustrator...having so much fun doing so.

I made the wreath to look like a glass ornament wreath...lots of pieces to it!

Just download, print and put in a frame....so easy. 

I also just made a digital set of banners.....both say "Merry Christmas", but in two different color schemes.  This is also in my etsy shop. 

I give easy instructions, u print....cut out....hot glue to ribbon/fabric strip/strings....add embellishments if you like ....and hang up. So very easy to do!!! NO SEW!

I finally got to use my glittery pom poms that I have been hoarding in a jar.

On this banner I took that thick pink yarn that is at hallmark for wrapping gifts.

When I was a kid, girls would wear it in their hair for ponytail bows.

Funny little things

I wanted to share a few funny little things I have in my studio....these are the non necessary items but still fun.

Above is an old quilted sign I used to hang in my shows as a banner.

I hang thick jute around the high ceilings to hang things like this with clothes pins. 

Here is a cool old game...I got for 2 bucks...inside are some fun plastic dolls to dress up. 

I like old blocks....you never know when you might need them! 

This is an old orange cup with a noise maker and a little watercolor pin I painted long ago...once I met Debbie Mumm and she signed the back of this....she was my hero! 

Here is a crown my daughter made me years ago for my birthday.

My old needle felted tomato doll....freaky huh! 

An old Easter creation...its fun to see what was exciting to me ..when I look at these old designs. 

I love paper punches....these are my small guys 

I love collecting "Modern" sewing books....lol. 

Halloween hag....hanging around. 

My daughter made this ages ago...I love seeing her tiny hands as leaves.

She still has small hands....so cute. 

My valentine box (my mother gave my 30 years ago) filled with unique buttons and doo dads. 

I have tons of dinosaurs and animals in plastic...bad pic I know.

These are great to cover in tacky white glue and glitter them up.
