My Slugger

This is my daughter's last softball game tonight....the "Sea Monsters" rocked!!! She loves playing each year with her team. This is their 3rd year. The girls learn soooo much each year and most the dads try to help out where needed. My husband, Selina's dad, loves to help, as 3rd base coach. I love to watch and cheer!

Witchy Halloween badges

These are my new Halloween badges, the finished product...for sale on ebay:

http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/happyholidayshudson_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_ipgZ
Halloween is so much fun to work on, but a little strange making these when it is 88 degrees!

I will have three more different ones to put on in a few days. I also have a new Halloween stitchery that will come out soon and some more surprises as well. Sometimes when I am making Halloween items and it is not fall yet...I put on scary movies or my favorite halloweeny record- Dark Shadows (the soundtrack from the old tv show). I love my old records!!!!

Happy 233rd Birthday America!

I know I am a little late on posting for the 4th of July, but better late than never! WE had a spectacular fireworks display in Downtown riverfront park in Spokane, Washington. Gone are the days of a firework stand (atleast around here!)...I remember going to the local store and there would be a firework stand, and all of us kids would buy smoke bombs, snakes, and sparklers a week before...letting them off whenever and then mom buying a big box for the 4th. Now it is illegal and you never hear a piccolo pete anymore. Some things are not better now than in the past. oh well, atleast I can tell my daughter about it....she loves those stories!

We're off to see the wizard....

Oz badge pin pattern
Don't make me call my flying monkeys!!!

There's no place like home!

I'm Glinda...the good witch. The great Oz has spoken! Nobody gets to see the wizard, not nobody not no how. Follow the yellow brick road.
These are from my new badge pin pattern- #227. Available on etsy and patternmart. These are super easy badges that capture that Magical Oz world! We all wanted to be Dorothy or the Good witch! Badges can be made in both small and large size...with ribbons or without. Ruffles are easy & inexpensive to make using crepe paper or party streamers. Make one for all your friends!

Happy Father's day!

This is my dad, just a week ago at a Grad party. He is 78...I am his one and only child. He and my mother had me when they were in their late thirties. I am very proud of him for alot of reasons. He left Scotland long ago, his family wanted a better life in America. He was an alcoholic, but has been sober almost 40 years. He was a smoker, but also quit that a couple decades ago. He ran his own body shop business and later worked for the state. Even though my mom and dad divorced when I was 3, my mom & dad were very good friends until she passed away. He has been a great father to me, always given me guidance and love! Thanks Dad!

A Sweet Rose and a Slugger

The garden has tons of roses now, in all shades, but this was huge!
This is my slugger, she made the first homerun of the season last night at their first game. Then the rain and thunder came and it was called. She thought she deserved McDonald's fries afterwards. It is so fun to go to the games all summer long!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On another note, I am making some wonderful Wizard of Oz items, that I will show you in a day or so. I have many Halloweeen creations on my mind as well. So much to do!!!!! I need a nap!
