June is busting out!

What a beautiful month June is!
The weather has been amazing....flowers, birds chirping...and gardens growing!
But the thing I love most is the world getting vaccines. Whether you get one or not....the world is safer.  My brother and sister in law died from covid....so you know how I feel.

I watercolored the art in these calendars.....and digitally made a repeating pattern using all the flowers and leaves. Click here for the phone/tablet calendar.

I love June....it's my birthday month.
I always got 4th of July/patriotic gifts for my birthday when I was young.

I want you to consider joining my newsletter....because this blog site that I use is going to stop emailing new posts. I will still post and you can see it if you come here, but they are stopping the automatic email.
Plus...when you join my newsletter....you get a fun freebie design every month.
So that you are not out of the loop...you can download this month's design here.

This is the "June" surprise pack!

...full of goodies to celebrate this month and upcoming weddings!
My daughter and I are collaborating on this pack...that consists of:

* 2 ornament Hexagons pack with Mr. and Mrs. design/pattern....with full instructions and scrunched ribbon to use for hanging. (This is not the finished item...you create them with this pack)
Each one is 3 1/2" Tall and 3 3/4" Wide.... Then the inside (embroidery fits in here) 2 1/2" tall x 3".
Each ornament blank is plain wood but can be painted (watercolors work great!)

* 1 Handmade art tag: Art (Girl with flower head dress) made from one of my paintings...turned into a print with "I give you my whole heart, for my whole life" with glitter and a ribbon....tucked in a glassine bag. The tag measures: 3" wide x 6 `1/4" tall. It is signed and dated.
* 1 lil flower bouquet needle minder measuring: 1 3/4" x 1 1/2", made from wood, laser cut and has a very strong set of magnets to hold the needle minder in place on you embroidery hoop. It keeps your needles handy and it won't end up on the floor or couch.

* plus a couple extra goodies like small wedding flash cards and.... a surprise!

My newest pattern is ready...

Make these super easy and quick pincushions with scraps of fun fabric. Learn how to embroider a patriotic flag in a pot of flowers. Incorporate your small embroidery into a fun pinnie which makes a great gift. Sew up any of these cute sizes with tips to make them & machine quilt them in a flash! Each have a cute ribbon loop to attach your small scissors to it and decorative star pins.

I love how this one looks like a flag .. I just used scraps I had in my stash.

Warning: These are addicting to make! Make them in any color of fabrics you want as well!

*******Plus....this pattern comes with a link to an exclusive video tutorial I made....just for you******

Sweet lil birdie!

Supplies you may need are: scraps of cardboard (from a box), glue stick, scissors, glue that dries clear and glitter.

There is a sheet with super cute characters: Lady liberty, uncle Sam bunny, bird with patriotic ribbon, flags, stars, fireworks, flowers, pinwheels, Beach bunny, and more! Another sheet has a big star and one with red and blue stripes (great for backgrounds) and a section of fun sayings and words.

Every month this year I have been making mug rugs for the coming month...
this time I made a camper mug rug.... to represent vacations and school being out.
I bought a pack of fat quarters that I never used until just now.

The mug rugs only take scraps though.

Here is a close up of the squiggle quilting.

Use a 1/4" seam allowance. Use the chart above.
Sew the featured fabric (camper) next to 3 strips of coordinating fabric.
Press well. Sew 1" strips all the way around. It is a good idea for the fabric border strips to be the same as the backing fabric.  It makes the strips resemble quilt binding.  Cut excess fabric and press. Layer batting and backing fabric (slightly larger than top) then lay top over backing (right sides together).  Pin in place. Sew 1/4"  around mug rug leaving a 3" opening. Turn inside out. Sew opening closed. Quilt squiggles on featured fabric and also quilt down strips and around the borders.

Time to paint or color.
These sheets are so fun to test your paint colors... from watercolors, acrylics, pastels, colored pencils and more.... and you can write down their names so you can keep track of the true colors.

There is a sheet with a flower girl and extra flowers. One sheet is full of shapes... and the last one is a bouquet of flowers. Kids love coloring them too. These are not colored...they are black and white so that you can color them.

Just print when you need them...over and over. You can print on white cardstock.

This is a before pic.  My hubby put in the new light fixtures.
It was screaming yellow.

She painted gray on the lower cabinets and white on top. There is a new back splash and new knobs.

I painted my coffee bar to match.

We changes the wallhangings too.
I love how bright it is now and I am super happy about it.

I wanted to show you a couple new paintings... I am always painting.
This is the Trick or treaters! Notice the cat and ghost.
It makes me happy to create.

This one is a sticker book. I collected stickers in middle school...hallmark was my paradise.
Mindy lacefield has classes on painting, that I highly recommend.
I love her lessons!

Happy June!
