Happy Presidents day...sneaky peak

I thought you might enjoy seeing this vintage ad in one of my old magazines...

for Wheatena.

I love the presidential theme.

Remember when back in grade school they would put pictures in as a replacement for a word...like Washington's picture replacing his name.  Maybe it was kindergarten?

My daughter and I plan to go for a walk soon...the sun in shining,,,,,blue skies...just gorgeous!

My mom totally believed she could catch fairies in the woods

she looked under mushrooms and everything!

Fun pics from the Farm chicks

I went with my friend Sue to the Farm Chicks show this past Saturday.

I was totally exhausted....we spent all day there...and it was huge!

 

There were plenty of strange baby dolls and mannequins....which I am drawn to.

Everyone knows how to display things so well.

The coolest light ever!  Made from a grate and lots of punch cups.

Chandeliers, furniture, paintings and chairs...oh my!

Love the pennant flags around the rusty circle, big bouquet of flowers....and Sue shopping in background....lol.

Cool cotton ball jar for babies room...take a jar...paint that lid and add a knob...so cute

Ruffled gauze angel wings

The sweetest pony all wrapped up in muslin....with winning badge!

Vendors bring in old trucks, campers, huge restaurant signs....you name it ...they bring it.

I don't even know what these are ...but they are cool

I LOVE flags and they also had seam binding!

Everything is a visual delight.

Little wire crowns

Mounted animal heads real and fake were popular....classy deer there.

Creepy doll head...wire strainer crowns....take a strainer from the thrift store...cut from the middle in wedge cuts...bend wire over and embellish
