It's me!

Yep...It's me!  I am not the kind of girl that seeks out a camera... in fact I like to avoid it like the plague.  My daughter convinced me that I need to show myself on my blog....so she is right...as usual.  Here I am being silly....I like to be silly!
I love my hoop art...I am making some for Halloween!
I like a good party hat, don't you.....this one says....Happy girls are the prettiest!
My mouse pin cushions....one of my best selling patterns!  It was only 97 degrees out when taking our pics...yikes!  My daughter said...yep...I'm hot now..I think we have enough pics.
As I get older..I am starting to finally look like my mom....which is strange since I look totally like my dad's side.....Scottish!  Mom was Scottish too though.  I am rambling!
Have a cool evening!!

Stuff in my studio

Hy Everyone...I hope your weather is better than ours!!!  Our forecast is ....RAIN....FOREVER!
I thought I would show you some little things around my studio....for fun!
This is my paper rosette...life is good...it is on a memory board I made.

Here is Marilyn Monroe.....she is hanging around....I have a butterfly magnet holding her in place.  What a beauty she was! One of my favorite movies is "Some like it hot".    It is funny.

FUN is hoop art....it is just letters spelling fun on retro dot fabric....I added a pink pom-pom.

I used to watercolor raggedy Ann dolls alot....this is me and my sis....drinking milkshakes.

I like decorating an old can to make a sweet pencil holder...in this case I have sticks...I know I am weird...but I often need a stick when crafting.  I got this cute graphic from Etsy...Lisa's altered art..check her esty shop!

Here is my Grandma Shirley.....who I was named after.  She was an award winning quilter....I have some of her quilts....so glad I have them,  She also did ceramics and was a great baker.  She was born in 1905.  She was 62 when I was born.  She loved her senor's center.  She got Alzheimer's and passed away in 1992....she gave me my wedding quilt early....because she knew I would get married.
Banners!  Made from old music pages....they are fun to stick in a bouquet of flowers.

I love my little catch all plate.  This is a pin that says "Got love"...the girl comes out of the heart pocket.

My Selina...when she was in grade school....now she is in her last year of middle school.   She and her daddy are everything to me.

This is "Flo" my mannequin....Selina dressed her up in this outfit...pretty cute!  She is by the stairs....to greet me each morning!

Hard decisions! Yikes!

Hi all you crafty gals!!!  Today I am telling you about a decision that I made in the past few weeks....one that sort of breaks my heart but is really good for me.  I am completely quitting craft shows.  My business with Hudson's Holidays....designing patterns and artwork is going great...growing all the time.  I just don't have time to do craft show anymore....I have been trying to do everything.....from being at home taking care of the house, my husband, and my daughter....to designing my products.....writing my patterns....to running all the internet sites I have...photography....dealing with sales....mailing...it just goes on and on.
I love craft shows...I love making little goodies and seeing the people who want them and talking to them!  I love playing around making things....I feel like a kid...but craft shows are alot of work and they take so much of my time from me.
Last year I started reducing the craft shows I was in...thinking that would work, but now I see I need even more time.  I really am feeling broken hearted....cause I have been doing it forever it seems.  I am even saying goodbye to the Farm Chicks show....which is an awesome show just like the Jim Custer shows....but I simply can't do everything.  I recently got a pattern distributor....Petersen-Arne....and I really need to make designing the priority...and My little family has always been a priority.  I will still do the Washington State Quilt show and Quilt Market because they are part of my pattern business.  I am always going to have my patterns and other artwork like flashcards and collage sheets on the internet sites like my etsy and my patternmarts...etc.
It feels like a relief on one hand....to not have to make lots of items to fill a booth, yet sad not to be there at the shows.  I will come as a customer to the shows! I will always fit time in for creating.
