Quilty flowers freebie

Yay...Friday again!
There is something about Friday....everyone loves friday!
Above is this week's friday freebie....looks like a little quilt block right?!
This would be an adorable coaster.
I would fill in the black flower centers with a color of you choice in the satin stitch.
I love the satin stitch...but I would backstitch around the circle and fill in with it.
*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make a couple finished goods (no mass producing) and a couple gifts...they are still legally my designs.

I have been doing some artwork for Halloween...one of my favorite times of the year!
I drew my goofy pumpkin and colored him up.

This is a screen shot of my work in adobe illustrator.

I love the repeating pattern design. Can you imagine these crazy heads on a table cloth?
I am doing quite a few projects for Halloween...and hope to get them out soon...until then I have some popular pattern designs in my etsy shop.
Above is "Midnight Snack"

Needle felting on wool...this is my pumpkins pattern....with black cat face.
There are more designs included to make very unique pumpkins.

Scrappy Halloween pins....including this Witchy woman.

I am going to a cool huge craft show and then antique show the next day....fun!!!

Have a cool weekend!

This and that... plus sneaky peaky

Sneaky peaky time!
My next pattern is coming soon...and it's HAlloweeny!
This closeup sure shows my muslin and floss threads.
If you love embroidery....then you will love this one!
DMC gave me some cool color variations to work with.
It is like a rainbow for stitching!
I am thinking up all kinds of punch needle ideas....the variations would give great texture.
The blues would make great water scenes and ice/winter scenes.
I love the pinks however.
Early this summer I got this light box.
It is a cool light up sign that plugs in to a USB/plug in with adapter or batteries.
Last night we were playing with it alot.  You can change the letters...and write anything....My hubby made this sign for us.  I bought the flowery background to go with it.
This is going to be great at my quilt shows...in my living room as a fun sign and on my office shelf.
We had a terrible storm the other day...it came so fast and furious.
It was crazy wind, huge hail and caused alot of garden damage.
This above is my chives under tons of ice.
This is my little potting hutch outside...covered in ice...I had to get it off the plants...the temperature was cold too.
I had to scoop this stuff away from plants because it was not melting.

But now the temps are in the 90's....and going up....strange crazy weather!

My daughter Selina has come up with new designs!!!
I am so happy about her new products...I had to get my hands on them!
Here I put the vintage embroidery linen someone stitched ages ago (the same one I used to make tiny strawberries in the last post) and popped it in....so cute!
On this one....we simply added pretty fabric with some seed beads!
The tall ones are:
 1 15/16" wide by 2 7/8" long, the inside area of the pendant is 1 9/16" wide x 2 3/16" tall.
The 3 pack set she has in her etsy shop: SelinaHudsonDesigns...comes with this free "Tree" design!
Plus a how to sheet with tips and instructions.
These are her other new designs.....

I love just simply putting fabric in ...and no other work involved...so easy!
This one measures:
2 1/2" wide by 1 3/4" long, the inside area of the pendant is 2 1/8" wide x 1 1/4" tall.
This is the free design that comes with the wide ovals 3 pack: "Be You tiful".
I love this saying!!!
Words or sayings are perfect for the wide oval!
I added this sweet flower fabric and seed beads to this one!
Now she has all kinds of mini hoops...for everyone's taste.
The freebie snowman above would be sweet in the tall oval.
Last weeks freebie would be great in this wide oval!

Have a terrific Weekend!!!

Tiny Strawberry freebie pattern

Today I want to share with you a little freebie pattern....
You make it from old vintage linens....the kind that have damage and have been embroidered on.
They are found very easily at the thrift stores or garage sales....
or you may have some in your stash.
I made a whole bunch....just for fun.
I may put them in my strawberry collection in a bowl....sort of a summer decor thing.
Here they are in my tea cup....so besides being a pin keep....they make a great bowl filler.
You can fit the best part of the embroidery on the strawberry...so easy.
They are cheerful and you can make the tops of the strawberry any color, and any ribbon choice too.
This is the old linen I took these from....it was torn in places so I was not going to use it as a table runner anyway.
They make great friendship swaps and gifts.
Plus...what a great needle minder...just tie it to your embroidery hoop!!!

Please share this blog post with your friends!

Thanks with hearts tag freebie...plus color palettes

Sometimes the hardest thing to say is
Thanks.
Maybe this tag will make it easier!
This would be great to have a bunch ready for when you need them....grab and go.
Copy and save!

*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make a couple finished goods (no mass producing) and a couple gifts...they are still legally my designs.

I like to take flower pictures when I take my walk...they are so pretty and I can only plant so many...
I have the rockiest soil.
I love to find the color palettes in them and use them in adobe illustrator projects.
I can use these wonderful colors and not have to think about picking out all these colors.
These lavender plants are so fragrant and I love the shades of purple.
My daughter uses lavender to set her pendants in....the scent is great.
Wild white roses....these are a nice set of neutrals....which I hate picking.
I love collecting vibrant colors....but for good color combos ...you need these guys.

These are some of my favorite colors...so summery and seem like Popsicle flavors.
These also smelled fantastic.
I love pink!
I don't know what they are, but they were gorgeous!
Sometimes color palettes are great for painting, for home decor, for coloring in those cool coloring books and of course...for stitching or punchneedle!
I love the thought of getting out my DMC floss and finding these matches!

Happy
Weekend!
