Sweet floral bookmarks

Happy Leap day!!
This day only comes every four years...so enjoy it.
I decided this day need a little gift!
I made these bookmarks and I want to share them with you!!!
**for personal only only
They look like this after downloading and printing them!
Just cut out and add string, yarn or ribbon.
I put a tassel on this one...
All the artwork was done on Adobe illustrator...using my newest repeat pattern....wild florals.
I covered these books for quilt market a few years ago....just old wallpaper.
The books looks so much nicer now...hahaha.

I was in desperate need for some bookmarks for some magazines I was reading and I wanted to keep my spot.  I have a bunch of bookmarks somewhere...I am always trying to organize and then I don't know what great place I put them at.
Need to know How to make a tassel?
Here I added purple ribbon....
Relax and accept the crazy....one of my favorite sayings right now!
Encourage silliness....I always do!
Enjoy this unusual day!!!

Be Different ...freebie!

Don't you just want to be different...follow your own path?
This sweet flower decided to do it her way!
This would make a terrific little pillow shelf tuck...embroidered up!

*Please note that all freebies are for you to use to make a couple finished goods (no mass producing) and a couple gifts...they are still legally my designs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been making some embroidery designs for these super adorable hexies that my daughter made.
They are wooden pendant blanks....and you can pop in embroideries and fabric.
I will be having a pattern for the embroideries. I have 24 designs to do...geez...I may have to cut it done to 12 or 18.
Here I  did something alittle easier....just put some kitty fabric with a touch of embroidery....the flower and grass...
then I popped it into a hexie blank.
Each hexie is 1 " 5/8 Tall and 1" 5/8 Wide.......Then the inside is 1" 2/8 Tall and 1" 2/8 Wide
My daughter Selina has recently experimented with even tinier hexies....that make a perfect ring!
This picture was taken with my phone...color isn't exact.
The fabric just fits in like the hexie pendants and you add a blank ring.
Cute matching set isn't it!
Another embroidery which will be in my pattern,
hearts are great anytime of the year.

Let the Shenanigans begin!

I illustrated some new St. Patrick's Day tags...2 sheets of printables.
I love the green and purple combo!
There are 2 collage sheets- 15 different tags and one banner that says" Let the shenanigans begin!"
Other tags say: I'm a wee bit Irish, Lucky me...I have you, and Happy St. Patrick's day. Some tags says...Lucky girl! Just print, cut out and add strings, ribbon or yarn. Glittering them would also be adorbs!
The top left and bottom right are what the sheets look like when printed out.
These are cute for parties, glued on fabric hearts, hanging on knobs, tucked in your altered art projects, and much more!
The banner would be sweet on a small wreath or on a big felt shamrock.
I feel so lucky ... I bet you do too!
This is my mound of goodies ...to put in the tag holes.
My stash is never ending...I keep telling myself not to buy more...
but do I listen?
Nope!

Dear Irish Memories....postcard 1910

Happy Fri-yay!
This is my freebie for today....a lovely vintage St. Patrick's day postcard.
And here is the back.
I think if you click on it you can see a larger pic of it.
Can you believe it was sent over 100 years ago...1910!!

The artwork is just beautiful!
This has lots of silver all over.
Plus I love the little poem.
So sweet!
Erin go Bragh....means Ireland forever!  Also it is used to express allegiance.
I am Irish, English and mainly Scottish...so I always just go with all the British stuff....why not?!
But I am American through and through!!

My twins celebrated their 9th birthday this week with wet food in the morning ... a princess Leia and Han solo catnip mice set and turkey in the evening.
Yes ...I am nuts...lol.
Speaking of cats...this is one of my patterns...
4 seasons cats pattern

Vintage Valentines

I got some new vintage Valentines this year...well I collect more every year....I add to it.
I thought I would share a few that caught my eye.
Above is the sweetest elephant...with the weirdest clown ever.  The nose cracks me up!

This Giraffe is cute and his neck moves.
I just love all the corny sayings and puns....they just don't make them like this anymore.
The valentines kids give to each other now are cheap pieces of paper....with funny edges and they have zero cute factor.
I love valentines with Kitties!
This one is cool because it was for teacher.
Plus the kitty is an artist...with beret and all...lol.

This couple really caught my eye...so tender....plus his hat is huge and reminds me of the mad hatter.
It has gold...I remember as a kid loving that gold on paper.
This one is from 1911.
I love the ornateness of this one.
On the back it says:
Dear Glen,
I wish you was out here.
I like school fine.
It has 23 scholors in role.
Goodbye answer soon
Charlie
They were both in Kansas.
What really gets me is how romantic the card looks....but maybe that didn't mean anything or maybe it did.
The postcard is 105 years old now.
I always wonder how things went for the two writing each other in these old letters and postcards....did they have a good life?
We will never know.
