Scottish Valentine & memories

I love this Scottish Valentine....
reminds me of dad...who came from Scotland 63 years ago....and is very happy to be here in America.
When he first came...he was so unhappy.
Everything was different and he felt very out of place.
As the years went by, he became accustomed to America.
He loved my mother until the day she died, even though they had been divorced when I was 2....they were very good friends.
He still has an accent and is VERY THRIFTY....
but he has always been EXTREMELY GENEROUS to me....
and his one and only grand-daughter Selina.
He now takes care of his long time girlfriend who has Alzheimer's.
He has more patience than I would ever had thought.
Love him!

To love another person....

I LOVE Les Miserables...and this is a wonderful quote from it!
It is so profound and beautiful!
I made the collage background from old papers, paints, ink, and chalk.
This is a digital download print...you get the file instantly and then can print it on white card stock, matte photo paper, or glossy paper.  It fits in either a document frame or
an 8" x 10".
It would make a great Valentine gift!

When Irish eyes are smiling...

Seems like time is flying by again....just decorated for Valentines day....
but I wanted to show you all my St. Patricks' day items..
before you know it...it will be here.
These are all available in my etsy shop....patterns and digital artwork...
instant download...so fast.
This year Easter is late (April 20th)...so there is plenty of time to have St. Patrick's day decor up.
I am Irish, English, Mainly Scottish, and a lil drop of Cherokee.
My father had Vikings disease (tendons in hand pull up)...so it may be from the vikings invading Scotland so long ago.  Hope I don't get it.  He had a very simple surgery to take care of it.
Then again....I wonder how much is story telling...lol.

Oh well....we can celebrate just being alive...with all our ancestors doing all the really hard work to make our lives so wonderful today!
I am thankful for that!

Valentine Banner Flash Cards & a new shop

Love is in the air....seems like Valentines are everywhere!
My daughter gets her braces off on Valentine's Day...so excited for that!
I just wanted to share a few things with you...I have new phrase flash cards.
These are perfect to make into banners for your home decor.
The SET has 12 medium VALENTINE FLASH CARDS and 8 smaller flash cards.
You download instantly and print on 4 pieces of creamy cardstock...very easy.
The words you get are: Sweets for the sweet, Be mine, Happy Valentines day, Be my Valentine (in larger size). Larger cards have numbers and definitions. Larger cards measure: 3" x 6 1/4"
The smaller cards are: Truly madly deeply, kiss me, love conquers all.
Smaller ones measure:1 1/2" x 4 1/2"
Simply add ribbon, lace, string, tinsel garland to the back using hot glue...to make a super fast and yet pretty banner.

These also look great on shelves and as gift tags.
The larger cards have numbers and definitions.
I am going to put this one above across my mantel.
This is a mini banner...using the small flash cards....nice on a mirror.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I also want to tell you about my new Etsy shop called...
Each design in my new shop is only $1.50.

Some have been a part of my freebies....which have been retired so they are not available anymore
(I suggest checking my freebies often...before they are not longer here)

Some are new designs....they were never a freebie.

These are so inexpensive because they are just a sheet pattern....that keeps the price affordable.
It comes with my basic embroidery tips...and how to use a finished design in many ways.
They do not come with color choices....I figure you are smart enough to choose you own.
Plus they would look great as redwork ...stitched entirely in red ....or other colors.
I will be adding new designs all the time.

Enjoy the little things - freebie design

This small quote is so BIG!
This is one of my favorite quotes....if you follow this....you will be a much happier person.

Yesterday I put my frozen microwave lunch on a pretty square plate....set the table before me nicely....just for me.  Made a small fruit salad to go with it.  It was terrific.  It made my lunch special and I felt great afterward.  It was a little something special....that turned out BIG.

This would look great stitched up and framed in a tiny hoop.

Purrring Valentine....sneaky peak

I love cats!
I have three...and it wouldn't be the same without their little furry souls around!
They each have their own personality, their cute traits, and each is good at something.
My cat Lucky is a gentle giant...very lovable.
My cat Trix is playful and kills any mouse in the neighborhood.
My cat Froy is super fluffy and reminds me of Bugs bunny(what a smartalic)

Anyway....above is a sneaky peak at my newest pattern....available very soon.
"U make me purr".
I love the ever changing holidays....always something to look forward to!
