Princess Fiona

I came across my pics of princess Fiona....she disappeared 2 years ago, don't know if she is alive or gone to kitty heaven.  She gave me 2 great gifts...her kittens...Trix and Lucky.  She would be over 4 now.  I put her image on countless pendants I made....they always sold right away.   She was a sweetie!

Old pictures and fun sayings!

One of my favorite things to do is to take an old picture and add fun sayings to them on a tag.  I can't resist having comments that are sassy, funny, and oh so true.  I love the crazy hairdos women have had in the last century.....I can't for the life of me figure out how their hair gets so big and fluffy.  My sis says they teased it....I tried to tease mine...it can't get that big and funky.  My hair was sort of big and fluffy and long in the eighties....but the boufants take the cake.
I love to collect sayings.....here on my etsy is my pdf sayings collection.  They can be copied and pasted into microsoft word to change fonts and size (no need to retype sayings).

Lil pretties & goodtimes!

Here are some pictures of my weekend at the Two Women show.  I had lots of pink, french, papery products.  It stormed something fierce on Saturday, but sunday was lovely.  My daughter had her face painted and bought a pretty typrwriter key necklace.  I met a lot of nice people.....also some great vendors who made it super fun.  I also found out that I need to go to Paris....so many people told me I would love it....so I must do that some day.   Got to work on some more projects!

French Wrist cuff Pin cushion

I just made up this cute pin cushion wrist cuff.  My husband bought one for me...premade at a store...and it was ugly and uncomfortable.  He meant well and he is a sweety.  I decided my new wrist cuff was gonna be pretty!
It is on my etsy
Boy, oh boy....do I need some lotion or what!!!  I was never meant to be a hand model....too chubby of fingers, and dry skin.  Oh well....I had to get a picture of the cuff on.  My daughter has skin like an angel....but she is 12 and she has small hands.  She can model for me later. She may be designing with me sometime soon, she has great ideas and is crafty.

Happy Mother's day to all!

This is me and my mom....wish I didn't look so grumpy!
She was beautiful!
She was so talented: a great cook, a great sewer, she could talk about anything and could convince you it was true, she took care of us five children even when the chips were down, she was always laughing, everyone loved to be around her, she was a great secretary, she love animals, she played the piano like no one I knew.  She never hugged, but you knew you were loved.  She would have died for us.
Sadly she passed away 12 years ago....smoking destroyed her lungs.  I miss her alot, my daughter was only 20 days old....I believe my mom used sheer will to make it and see my only child.  If your mom is still with you....give her a hug...you never know when you can never hug again.

Witchful thinking.....witch mannequin

Here is one of my witch mannequins....on sale on ebay.  This is extremely prim and grubbied alot.  It is from my own design...I have made a pattern of it as well ...available on my website, patternmart, and etsy.  My witch mannequin pattern is the original.
This needle punch box was for sale, but it was sold already! I thought you might want to see it anyway.  This is also my own design...no pattern made of it as of yet.
Here is a Halloween needlcase....perfect for keeping by your side while sewing.  The thread slips on at the top.
Inside is an area to keep pins, needles, and safety pins.  This is on ebay.   I am going to continue with Halloween items this week....I am feeling Witchy!

Prim Witch pins...yikes!

Here are some witchy pins made from fabric and paper.  I love all the vintage photos you can mess with.  I sometimes wonder if they would be mad that I made them into a witch! Hopefully they would just laugh.   I am making some Halloween items early, will be posting them when they are done.   Yesterday we had a awful wind storm, so the yard looks like a mess of twigs...I must clean it up.....sometimes...ha ha ha.

Sweet crafty projects

This is a collage piece I created....scanned into the computer to be resized and then I put it into a dollar store paper weight.  This gal comes from a great photo in my old photo collection, I have use her many times!
I love this statement! I made this collage from a piece of cutter quilt (the only descent part left of an old quilt).  I stitched onto a paper backing and added all the ephemera.  I love to age paper with brown ink and an old toothbrush....just rub toothbrush on ink pad and then rub toothbrush on edge of papers.
This is a great pin cushion made from on old jello mold and piece of cutter quilt.  The tag is just the letters "pins" glued onto it. Try making letters from different fonts on your computer, then print them out on a page.
I had to show my patriotic raggedy design ...she comes from my Quilt stitchery pattern.  These stitcheries are so easy to make up....I always have something to stitch ready by my chair in my livingroom...keeps hands busy and less likely to eat stuff when I watch tv at night.

I did well on Bloomsday, my daughter had so much fun.  She couldn't believe how many people were there and how long the course is!  One of the funny things is to see all the trees full of peoples jackets and sweatshirt...that people get rid of once the race starts.  All clothes go to charity.  Another funny thing are when people dress up in costumes and weird getups to be noticed.
