Dark Shadows...can't wait

I loved the old Dark shadows!  It was so much fun....creepy , yet romantic.  I was too young when it aired originally..I had to see it when it was a rerun.  I loved Barnibus of course but I also loved his awful servant Willie.  I also thought Maggie Evans was the most beautiful woman in the world (I wanted to be her, but I was a strawberry blonde..lol).  We had a dark shadows game when we were kids....we played with it so much that it fell apart.  I got a replacement for it on ebay a few years ago and now my daughter, husband, and I play it.  It is sort of like candy land, but scary.

I can't wait for Johnny Depp to play Barnibus.  I know he will be different than the original, Jonathan Frid, but I wouldn't want it to be the same.  They are both so great.
Some things are worth the wait!

Cat quote of the week- from Froy

I'm busy now.
Can I ignore you some other time?
This is so true for all the cats out there, and some people.  This is froy, my baby.  He thinks I live to serve him...maybe he is partly right....that's how he sees it.

Feeling Witchy?

I don't know about you....but I am feeling witchy!  It is that time of year to make Halloween fun!

I love the old feeling that halloween brings, not only childhod memories, but that happy, crisp fall day....so beautiful.

Trick or treating was so special, one of the only times to get a bunch of candy that you didn't have to share with the rest of the family.

Making witches from old photos are always a fun craft to do.

Wool pins, I made over 40 of the pumpkin pins on the bottom....sold like crazy online.

The whole halloween gang being spooky.

My black hat society wallhanging....right from the salem witch trials....yikes.
That is witchy!
All these patterns shown are available on all my sites.....check them out sometime.

Super cute baby blonde - free photo

Hi, It is freebie friday...yeah!!!!!  I am sharing this cute photo of this baby blonde girl.  She could say...."Blondes have more fun!!!".    or....  "No one comes between me and my teddy bear".   or   "Oh no you didn't!".  I could go on and on.....my sister and I like to quote tv shows and movies alot.  Sometimes, when we get together, we laugh and joke into the wee hours of the morning.

Summer ROCKS!!!

Here is a project for you and your family.....take all those rocks you collect ...you know...when you are at the river/lake/walks.....and turn them into pretty gifts.  We all do it don't we.  I must say Jenny Doh inspired me to make these...she is so creative.

Clean your rocks with a hose and let dry.  Add a layer of gesso/white paint to top of rocks only.

I type in words and sayings on a word program...with different fonts.  Print out on cream colored cardstock.

Mod Podge the words and sayings on the rocks and let dry.

Get out your permanent markers and do squiggles, lines, and doodles.

Spray rocks lightly at first with clear gloss spray paint.  Then add another coat, let dry, turn over and spray backs.

They are cute and shiny now!

I love these lil guys....talk about economical!!!!  These inspire and make you smile!

Quotes from my cat

I'm going to think positive today.....
But I don't think
I can do it!
This is a quote from my cat "Lucky".  He is really photogenic...I swear he is posing for the camera at all times.  My other 2 cats are really difficult to take a picture of....everytime I try they turn their face away.  Not Lucky.....he lives for this stuff.  He also lives for naps and food.  Lucky is the kind of cat that is always lovable, wants attention, and gets scared if you sneeze.  What are your animals like?  Are they like little people in fur coats?
My daughter's beta fish died, so she buried him in our yard next to the other beta fish "Rose" and my beloved cat "Sally".

Thanks Dana

Here is my husband Dana, being silly at the cabin.  I told him to make a pose for the camera and this is what he does.....lol.  Right now he is helping my daughter paint her bedroom....something I was dreading....so he suggested I go work or craft it up(same thing) ....and I said ....OH YEAH!!!
My husband is a treasure in many ways.  He loves to cook and organize......but also loves to watch Mariners baseball and other sports like the Zags.  He works hard everyday and always kills a spider for me.  He is fun to be with and he is my best friend....he can get grumpy, but he has never yelled at me and always treats me like a queen.  So ....Thanks Dana.....Love you!

Freebie friday- "Be a good one" saying

It is freebie friday again.....summertime flies so fast.  This is a saying from one of the greatest presidents of the USA!!  Abe Lincoln had a knack for sayings....they are so simple yet so true!
I stitched this up into a small sign wallhanging....with cival war type fabrics as borders.
Have fun with this design! I love it when you share this freebie with a link to my blog!!
I went garage saling.....almost melted, but still fun!

A few More Studio pics

Here are a few more pics from my studio...if you want to see more of my studio click here.
This is where I stick extra tags....cause I am a tag-o-holic!

I love making spools to wrap my lace and ribbon around....I have a tutorial on etsy for this.  I also love strawberries especially when they are pincushions too.

Here are my Eiffel towers, flower pins, and large mannequins.

I got this small shopping cart at a thrift store...it was silver and rusty...so I painted it solid GOLD.  It is fun to hold my yarns.   I should make some cool pom-poms!

Here is a big shelf for all my sewing books and old photos.  This is near my sewing/cutting table.

I like to keep thread close to the sewing machine...and also my bobbins- which I change often.

Here is a flower quilt top I am designing....boy do I need to finish that up!

This is something that makes me smile.  An old wire fence, wrapped up in a circle and turned upside down.  Then I added tons of ornaments....total eye candy.
